The upcoming BS6-compliant Yamaha Fascino won’t be the only two-wheeler from Yamaha that is set to get an update soon. That’s because leaked documents of the upcoming R15 V3.0 have now revealed the specifications of its BS6-compliant motor.

As per these documents, the updated R15 V3.0 will be slightly less powerful than the current-gen model. In its current state of tune, the 155cc liquid-cooled unit produces 19.3PS of power, whereas the BS6-compliant motor churns out 18.63PS of power. Despite the slight drop in power, the updated engine will continue to be the most powerful 155cc motor out there. As the MT-15 is based on the R15 V3.0, expect its BS6-compliant variant to get the same power output as well.
Apart from this, the updated variant is likely to be similar to the current-gen model in terms of mechanicals. However, we expect Yamaha to give the updated R15 V3.0 new paint options to keep things fresh in the segment. Back in August, Yamaha had officially announced that it will start rolling out BS6-compliant models in a phased manner starting late-2019.
The Japanese manufacturer had also announced that it will increase the prices of all its BS6-compliant models by around 10 per cent to 15 per cent. Currently, the standard R15 V3.0 is priced at Rs 1,40,880, which means the updated variant could be priced at around Rs 1.55 lakh to Rs 1.62 lakh (ex-showroom). The only bike in the segment which provides you punchy power and aggressive position it may have some cons still who are above 5.5 height can ride this rocket comfortable. Personally I love riding sports bike and this is seriously a legendary one in the segment also from 200cc segment. I reached upto 153 of speed on a highway which is so much within a 155cc segment. End of the day its very sexy for enthusiasts who prioritise power over features. So good i mean its powerful but not that torquey its so light weight and too much powerful no braking issues for me personally and mileage i got is around 42 to 45 in city and around 50 on highways too good for college students but you get back pains and spine problems not suitable for long rides good for flicking in traffic. Yes i do, The things you have to consider while buying this is its power packed for a beginner its good for track not suitable for long rides and also you have to be confident while driving this when VVA kicks in you just fly.Read More
