Here's a list of the top two-wheeler news stories that took place during the week

The last six days witnessed a bunch of new two-wheeler launches and a couple of teasers for upcoming bikes and scooters. While it was an eventful week altogether, we’ve handpicked the top five two-wheeler news stories that made the headlines.

1. 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400:

Leaked documents for the hyper-tourer suggest that the bike not only gets a few cosmetic and mechanical updates, but also a power bump (up by 4.9PS) compared to the outgoing model. And that’s not all, the bike’s instrument console also features message readouts for warning lights. It’s also 20mm wider and 2.5kg heavier than the current-gen model. 2. Triumph Street Twin and Street Scrambler:

Triumph has launched its entry-level bikes, the Street Twin and Street Scrambler, updated for the year 2019 with some considerable mechanical updates and a couple of cosmetic changes. The biggest update of them all has been on the bikes’ 900cc motor. Thanks to a couple of lightweight mechanical components, the engine now produces 18 per cent more power, i.e. 65PS, compared to the previous model (55PS). Apart from this, both the bikes get updated 41mm KYB forks and a larger disc with Brembo calipers up front. For more details about the launch and the two bikes, head here.

3. TVS Apache RTR 160 4V:

With the recent government safety norms kicking in from 1 April, the Hosur based bikemaker has finally decided to introduce the Apache RTR 160 4V Fi with single-channel ABS. That said, the addition of ABS means the bike is now Rs 6,999 dearer compared to the non-ABS variant. Also, the feature is only available in the fuel-injected variant for now. 4. 2019 Kawasaki Versys 1000:

Considering the growing adventure touring segment in India, Kawasaki has launched the 2019 Versys 1000 at a price of Rs 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom India). The manufacturer has managed to price the bike well, cheaper than the previous gen, by bringing it to India via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route. The bike also gets a host electronic aids like Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), cruise control, and Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF), traction control, ABS and more!Head here for more details about the newly launched adventure tourer.

5. Upcoming Bajaj Scooter?

Images leaked online suggest that Bajaj will re-enter the scooter segment with an all-new moped under its Urbanite sub-division. That said, the first renders of the scooter reveal that it could be powered by an internal combustion engine rather than an electric one like we had suspected. On the design front, the scooter looks like it’s been inspired by the Vespa range of scooters and could feature an all-digital instrument console.More details available here.

Dominar 400

I have been riding this bike for more then 6 years and have convered over 80000 km. The ABS has saved me many times and gives me a lot of condidence on the road. The maintenance cost os very low compared to bikes like the KTM 390 and others in the same segment and its east to find spare parts anywhere in Mumbai. When I decided to purchase this bike back in 2017 it was the best value for money option available and I have never regretted that decision to this day.

Bajaj Dominar 400 ABS version Is An Excellent Bike

An excellent bike that I purchased, I am very much satisfied with this bike. The Bajaj Dominar 400 is highly recommended cruiser in the touring segment. It has good riding comfort in any kind of climate, and in terms of mileage, I can't compare it with any of these segment bikes. I am getting 29kmpl in city and 36kmpl on highway mileage.

Beast Dominar400 Better Mileage

It is a good bike with better mileage. It is the best safety packed feature. The powerful engine matted with a 5-speed gearbox and slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS and DRL adds to the gross feature.
