India’s best selling bike, the Hero Splendor Plus is likely to be updated soon. The new update will make it safer and more value for money. It has been spotted at a dealership with a front disc brake and two new colour options. The disc brake variant will be the top-end variant of the Splendor Plus.
The upcoming Hero Splendor Plus Disc variant is likely to get the same 240mm front disc brake, which is offered on the more premium and feature-loaded Hero Splendor Plus XTEC Disc variant. At the rear, the bike will still get the same 130mm drum brake, both equipped with CBS (combined braking system).
The 2025 Splendor Plus will also get two new colour schemes. One of the colours spotted looks very similar to the Candy Red paint scheme which was earlier available on the bike but was later discontinued. Now, Hero is bringing back the iconic colour scheme. On the other hand, the Matt Axis Grey paint scheme is currently offered as a special colour scheme with a drum brake to mark Hero's milestone of 4 crore Splendor units sold. The upcoming disc brake variant will also get that colour scheme.
Other than the above-mentioned updates, the Splendor Plus is likely to remain unchanged in terms of engine, features and hardware. It is powered by a 97.2cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes a peak output of 8.02PS and 8.05Nm. It is paired with a 4-speed gearbox.
Expected Launch Date & Price:
The new Hero Splendor Plus Disc is likely to be launched in the coming weeks. We expect the bike to be priced around the Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom) mark.
