Expected to launch soon
The updated Hero Mavrick 440 has been spotted. The updated bike was seen during its TVC shoot, which could mean it will launch soon. The quick glimpse of the bike shows some of the new things it will get.
New Colour and Features
In the spy shots, the bike appears in a new matte grey paint scheme, replacing the current glossy finish. The standout detail, however, is the addition of a golden-coloured inverted fork. Another noticeable change is the bronze or copper-coloured engine cover, which replaces the previous black finish. These bits are similar to what the Mavrick 440 showcased at the 2024 EICMA.
The EICMA model also featured a TFT instrument console from the Harley-Davidson X440, but it’s unclear if this updated version gets the same unit.

Mavrick’s Second Innings
While the Mavrick is still listed on Hero’s website, the sales figures say otherwise, and the model has showcased no sales for the past few months. The bike, built on the same platform as the Harley-Davidson X440, was positioned as a more affordable option but missed out on a few premium touches like the TFT console and an inverted fork, which impacted its appeal. It looks like Hero is committed to doing right by the Mavrick by fixing most of the things it missed.
Engine and Performance
The current version is powered by a 440cc air & oil-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 27PS and 36Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. That said, any changes to the engine and powertrain are unlikely.

BikeDekho Says
Expected to launch very soon, the updated Mavrick 440 combines the new visual upgrades with a few feature additions and better equipment. This will allow Hero another chance to take on the 400cc roadster segment. However, this will also depend on its pricing – currently it is priced from Rs 2,13,207 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
