This new variant comes in just after the launch of Bajaj Chetak 3001 and Hero Vida VX2

    Quick News Highlights:

    • TVS iQube 3.1kWh launched at Rs 1,09,996 (ex-showroom Bengaluru)

    • Offers a claimed range of 123km, and a claimed top speed of 82 kmph

    • Gets the same design and features as other variants

TVS has expanded its iQube series with a new 3.1kWh variant positioned between the entry-level 2.2kWh and the higher-spec 3.5 kWh version - both in terms of price and battery capacity. This follows the 2025 TVS iQube range launch back in May this year.

    Price

The TVS iQube 3.1kWh has been priced at Rs 1,09,996 - making it Rs 13,383 cheaper than the 3.5kWh at Rs 1,23,379, and Rs 9,376 more expensive than the base 2.2kWh at Rs 1,00,620 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru, and with Rs 5,000 PM E-Drive subsidy). The price difference between the base 2.2kWh variant and top-spec 3.5kWh variant of the iQube is Rs 22,759. That’s a fairly large price gap, and TVS intends to fill this with the launch of the new 3.1kWh variant.

    Design

The iQube 3.1kWh continues with the same family-scooter styling as seen on other iQube models with clean and simple lines. It gets five colour options: Pearl White, Titanium Grey, Walnut Brown, Starlight Blue-Beige, and Copper Brown-Beige. Notably, it gets a pillion backrest and the dual-tone colours get Beige inner plastic panels and a dual-tone, Brown-Beige seat.

    Battery

The main highlight of this variant is the new 3.1kWh battery with a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 123km. It takes 4 hours 30 min to charge 0-80% using the included portable charger, which is the same as the larger 3.5kWh variant.

    Motor

This scooter is powered by a Bosch-sourced, hub-mounted motor that makes 3kW (4.4kW peak), 33Nm at the motor (140Nm peak, at the wheel). It has a 82kmph top speed, a 4.2 second 0-40kmph acceleration time, can climb roads with an inclination of up to 10 degrees, and gets two ride modes: Eco and Power. Interestingly, the top speed is the same as the top-spec 5.3kWh ST variant and the acceleration time is the same for all.

    Underpinnings

The iQube 3.1kWh remains unchanged from the rest of the lineup being built on tubular steel frame, a telescopic fork, and twin rear shock absorbers. For brakes, it gets a 220mm front disc and a 130mm drum at the rear. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with 90-section tubeless tyres; has 157mm of ground clearance, 770mm seat height, 32 litres of underseat storage, and 116.8kg kerb weight.

    Features

This electric scooter gets a full colour 5-inch TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, ride statistics, range, geo-fencing, live vehicle tracking, reverse/forward parking assist, all LED lighting, and alerts for call/SMS, anti theft, crash/fall.

    Rivals

The TVS iQube 3.1kWh rivals the Bajaj Chetak 3001, Ola S1 X+, Honda Activa e:, Ather Rizta, and Vida V2 Pro. With its pricing and feature set, it fits neatly into a segment that isn’t as expensive as top-of-the-line premium electric scooters but also has all the necessary features and adequate range.

    BikeDekho Says

While it is fairly more affordable than the top-end variant, it still manages to offer a decent claimed range, and more importantly, does not compromise on the top-speed. Most of the affordable electric scooters in this segment have a limited top-speed, so kudos to TVS for ensuring a healthy performance in the new variant. This seems to be a direct response to Bajaj’s new Chetak variant launch, equipped with a similar battery capacity but a lower top speed. That said, the Chetak enjoys a slightly bigger storage capacity.
