Top 5 Performance Bikes To Buy This Diwali

These bikes will ensure you have a banger of a Diwali

If you are looking to buy a performance-oriented bike this Diwali, here are 5 great options to choose from:

Yamaha YZF-R2

Rs 2,30,500 - Rs 2,53,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The Yamaha R2 is a step-up from the R15 and gets a bigger engine with more performance while having the familiar sporty aesthetics. It’s available in two variants, the R2 standard and R2 M.

The bike is powered by the all-new 204cc liquid-cooled engine producing 26.5 PS and 19.1 Nm. In terms of features, the bike gets a 5-inch TFT console with smartphone connectivity, dual-channel ABS, traction control and three riding modes: Street, Sport and Rain.

If you want more features, then consider the R2 M variant, which offers keyless ignition, adjustable front fork, adjustable clutch and front brake lever and a bidirectional quickshifter.

People who are looking for a stylish sport bike with a lightweight feel and agile handling, the R2 is the one to consider.

TVS Apache RR 310

Rs 2,66,190 - Rs 2,87,790 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

TVS Apache RR 310 has an aggressive sportbike styling and solid performance with a great feature package, all without breaking the bank. Powering it is a 312 cc engine making 38 PS and 29 Nm. And with features like a 5-inch connected TFT console, dual-channel ABS, cruise control and document storage, it makes a perfect machine for the street as well as your weekend runs.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450

Rs 2,51,063 - Rs 2,74,523 (ex-showroom, Chennai)

If faired bikes are not your thing but you want a power-packed, retro-styled roadster, then the Guerrilla 450 is worth checking out. The bike gets a circular headlight, a slim fuel tank, and rims with coloured highlights, giving it a sporty appearance.

It gets power from a 452 cc ‘Sherpa’ engine, the same as the Himalayan 450, which makes 40.02 PS and 40 Nm. The Apex variant offers a sportier look and better handling with a wider handlebar, road-focused Vredestein tyres, and a removable pillion seat cowl. Guerrilla 450 is a solid roadster which packs a punch for both, everyday, as well as spirited weekend rides.

Triumph Thruxton 400

Rs 2,76,522 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The Thruxton 400 is sure to turn heads with its distinctive cafe-racer looks. It gets the same engine as the other 350 cc Triumph bikes and makes 40 PS and 32 Nm. It gets a simple set of features with a semi-digital console and dual-channel ABS.

But the main highlight of this bike is its looks, which are inspired by the now-discontinued Thruxton 1200 R. It gets a bikini fairing, clip-on handlebars, pillion seat cowl, bar-end mirrors and four attractive colour options complete the look.

Aprilia RS 457

Rs 4,26,223 - Rs 4,41,223 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The Aprilia RS 457 might be the costliest bike on this list, but it gives the taste of a true Italian sports bike with a refined twin-cylinder engine. The design is inspired by the bigger Aprilia RSV4 and is powered by a 457 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that makes 48 PS and 44 Nm.

With features like a 5-inch TFT console, three riding modes, 3-level traction control, switchable dual-channel ABS, a preload-adjustable front fork and a monoshock, it makes for a really fun bike.
