We recently received the sales data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), and here’s a compilation of the top 5 best-selling Hero bikes in the month of September 2025:

The Hero Splendor Plus has been India’s best-selling bike for decades, . known for its reliable engine, easy handling, and great mileage. In September 2025, Hero sold a whopping 3,62,980 units of the Splendor Plus, which is a 23.35% rise compared to the units sold in August 2025. Its Year-On-Year (YoY) sales also went up by 3.83% compared to September 2024. At the end of last month, Hero reduced the bike’s price to pass on the GST benefit to customers. Here’s the updated price list for all Hero commuter bikes. We think the festive demand and the GST-led price reduction may have played a big role in the record-breaking sales. The Hero HF Deluxe is basically a slightly more affordable version of the Splendor Plus. It uses the same engine, frame, and mechanical parts but comes with a different styling.
Just like the Splendor, the Month-on-Month (MoM) sales figures of the HF Deluxe also went up, by 31.50%, and its Year-on-Year (YoY) sales also saw a 3.70% increase. The HF Deluxe may be more affordable than the Splendor, but the Splendor still remains people’s favourite.

The Hero Glamour series recorded impressive numbers in September 2025. This includes the Glamour, Glamour X 125, and Glamour Xtec models combined. The September sales represent a 35.47% increase in Month-on-Month (MoM) sales and a massive 51.98% jump in Year-on-Year (YoY) sales.
The strong growth is likely to be driven by the launch of the new Glamour X 125, which offers modern styling, several segment-first features (even cruise control!) - all available at an attractive price tag. The Hero Passion Plus is a premium 100cc commuter motorcycle that comes with likeable looks along with a reliable and the fuel-efficient engine from the Splendor Plus. Hero sold 28,981 units of this commuter bike in the month of September, which is 17.50% more in Month-on-Month figures. This sales figure is also 15.20% more than the units sold in 2024 in the same month.

The Hero Xtreme 125R is a sporty looking commuter motorcycle which offers good performance and an impressive mileage. In the month of September Hero sold 21,184 units of the Xtreme 125R, which is a massive 40.40% growth in Month-on-Month sales. But the overall story paints a different picture as this is still a considerable 43.53% drop Year-on-Year. That said, the Xtreme 125R is expected to get a new update soon, and this should bring the numbers even further up.
