Top 5 Best Selling EVs of 2025 In India

2025 is close to an end, so based on the recent sales data we received from Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), we have compiled a list of the top 5 best selling EVs of the year (January 2025 to November 2025). Here’s how it turned out:

TVS iQube Electric

It clearly was quite a busy year for TVS, as it sold close to 3 lakh units of the TVS iQube Electric this year! We’re sure the number will breach the 3 lakh mark by the end of this month. For perspective, its 2025 sales is a massive 31.22% increase in the scooter’s Year-on-Year (YoY) sales numbers - a no mean feat. 

The TVS iQube has one of the most family-friendly, neutral designs among the e-scooters currently on sale in India. It offers decent performance, range, and practicality (it’s got a 30-litre underseat storage). These factors have played a crucial role in the e-scooters phenomenal sales. It is offered in three variants: iQube, iQube S, and iQube ST, with prices starting from Rs 1,07,608 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

Bajaj Chetak

With over 2,62,966 units sold this year, the Bajaj Chetak follows the TVS iQube somewhat closely. When compared with the sales numbers from 2024, this is a 26.80% increase in its YoY sales, which is quite impressive.

Bajaj currently sells four models of the Chetak: 3001, 3501, 3502, and 3503. With its retro styling, neutral design, and adequate performance, the Chetak stands out quite well among its competitors. Moreover, it is also among the more affordable e-scooters, with prices starting at Rs 99,500 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). With Bajaj planning to launch the next-gen Chetak lineup in early 2026, it’s set to be an even better year for the brand.

Ather Rizta

Since its launch in April 2024, the Ather Rizta has been one of the most popular electric family scooters. With modern design, innovative features and excellent practicality from its 34-litre boot, Ather sold 1,52,604 Riztas this year, which is a whopping 206.95% increase in YoY sales numbers.

Also, in a recent development, the brand announced that the Rizta crossed the 2 lakh sales mark, making it the best-selling Ather scooter with over 70% of the brand’s total sales being the Rizta range. 

Hero MotoCorp’s Vida Range

Hero MotoCorp has been a true underdog in the EV race as it sold 1,10,299 units of the Vida range in 2025, a massive 156.39% increase in YoY sales. The Vida range currently includes the Vida V2, and the Vida VX2. Both these scooters are quite practical, and offer decent performance for city commutes. Also, Vida now offers the VX2 with a BaaS (Battery as a Service) scheme, which brings the upfront ownership cost significantly down, starting at just Rs 44,990.

Ola Electric

While Ola Electric is not a part of SIAM, it still has (or rather had, now) quite a large market share in the EV space. This year, the brand sold just 1,94,171 units, which is a 52.37% decline in YoY sales numbers. It was once the best-selling electric scooter, but legacy players seem to have overtaken the brand. The decline could be due to challenges in servicing and user-concerns over reliability.
