The Society of India Automotive Manufacturers (SIAM) has released two-wheeler sales figures for the month of June 2024 and here’s the list of the top 5 best selling bikes in India. It includes models such as the Hero Splendor Plus, Honda Shine 125 and more. Here’s a detailed list:

Hero Splendor Plus

The Hero Splendor Plus once again retains its throne as the highest selling bike in India, with 2,84,190 units sold. The Splendor is an iconic motorcycle which has won the hearts of many. It is powered by a 97.2cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that outputs 8.02PS and 8.05Nm. 

The engine offers reliable performance and in our tests it returned a mileage of 83.2kmpl in the city and 95.8kmpl on the highway. With such mileage figures, it is not a surprise that the Splendor is such a sensation. The bike today is offered in 6 variants and here is a detailed breakdown of their prices:

Honda Shine 125

The Honda Shine 125 is a no nonsense commuter offering from the Japanese manufacturer. It comes with a simple commuter design and is powered by a 123.49cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which outputs 10.74PS and 11Nm. 

The bike is pretty basic in terms of features as well and gets a dual pod analogue instrument console. Although it might look unimpressive, the Shine offers very reliable performance and most importantly, the Honda engine refinement. Additionally, the brand has also priced the bike very aggressively. The Hero HF Deluxe comes in third place with 89,941 units sold in the month of June. The bike is a simple commuter offering from Hero and features a more modern design and stylish graphics when compared to the Splendor Plus.

It is powered by a 97.2cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which produces 8.02PS and 8.05Nm. It comes in 4 variants and here are their prices:

Bajaj Pulsar 125

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 family currently includes both the iconic Pulsar 125, which comes with the OG Pulsar design, and the Sporty Pulsar NS125. The Pulsar 125 is more of a commuter bike which many people in India still go for, thanks to the iconic design and legacy the bike brings to the table. 

The OG Pulsar 125 is powered by a 124.4cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which produces 11.8PS and 10.8Nm. Whereas the Pulsar NS125 gets a 124.45cc, air-cooled engine that produces 11.99PS and 11Nm.

Both the bikes were recently updated with a new digital instrument console with a bunch of new features such as Bluetooth connectivity along with call and SMS alerts. The Pulsar NS125 is offered in one variant and is priced at Rs 1,00,422 (ex-showroom Delhi), whereas the Pulsar 125 comes in 3 different variants. Here’s a breakdown of the prices.

Bajaj Platina

The Bajaj Platina includes both the Platina 100 and the Platina 110. Both of these bikes feature the same, simple commuter design and graphics. The Platina 100 is powered by a 102cc air-cooled single cylinder engine which produces 7.9PS and 8.3Nm, whereas the higher capacity Platina 110 is powered by a 115.45cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine which produces 8.6PS and 9.81Nm.

Both the bikes come with a similar suspension setup that comprises a telescopic fork and twin-rear spring-in-spring shock absorbers. The spring-in-spring shock absorbers offer better ride quality as it is able to handle both heavy loads and light loads, thus ensuring the bike is stable when riding both solo and with a pillion. 

What makes the Bajaj Platina 110 ABS variant stand out is that it is the only bike in the 110cc segment which offers a disc brake with ABS at front. This is a very nice addition and one that riders will really appreciate.

Splendor Plus XTEC is my choice for long-distance use because of its excellent performance, reliable engine, comfortable riding and low daily usage. The design is also simple and easy to run, giving a very comfortable feeling. It is also very lightweight, so you can easily carry it to the smallest of places. Ab tak riding experience achha raha hai. Bike traffic mein easy handle hoti hai, mileage satisfactory hai aur daily riding ke liye comfortable lagti hai mai daily use karta hun mai delivery boy ki job karta hun zomato mein to mere liye ye bahot Jayda accha hai or kam petrol me kaafi acchi kamai kr leta hun. Yes, I will definitely recommend a mountain bike, especially if you want a reliable and economical bike for your daily commute. Maintenance is also manageable. Good mileage on highway and pickup is mind blowing, I love this bike this is the best bike for daily use, i'm using very roughly and i spent 250 rupees of petrol in this bike, and cover 150 km smoothly, that's why i love this bike. This bike is very comfortable with my experience because I drive this bike daily approx 120/130 kms using 180-200 ruppes of petrol in that also bike will save some petrol in the performance of controlling this the best bike. This is the best bike under budget, excellent for middle class family because mileage is good and low cost maintenance, and budget friendly bike, and i love the bike look i don't face any problems in this bike, and one more thing. Due to affordable price and low maintenance with high mileage bike with good looks & comfort that's why I was choosed hero hf deluxe pro bike for daily 50-60 km driving, I feel it's best bike for me and you. VERY GOOD PERFORMANCE

Service and maintenance charge is normal, mileage is 50 - 55 kmpl on highway, 45-50 kmpl in cities and streets. Overall, it is a quite good bike with good performance and minimal costs. Everyday rides upto hundred kms can be done easily, I ride daily around 80 kms and it is very easy for me and it's a sports bike even with only 125 CC engine.Read More
