Find out which is the more feature-packed e-scooter between these two

Simple OneS vs Ather 450S Features Compared

Simple Energy recently updated its entire range of electric scooters. In its lineup, the most affordable electric scooter is the Simple OneS, which costs Rs 1,39,999 (introductory ex-showroom price). It competes with the Ather 450S , which is priced at Rs 1,44,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru, with the AtherStack Pro Pack). We compared these scooters to find out the more feature-packed one:

It's a very tough job to pick the better-equipped scooter from these two, as they are both quite feature-packed. Both of these scooters get traction control, hill hold control, cruise control, riding modes, regenerative braking, and other rider aids.

Safety features, like the crash detection function, are present on both scooters and cut off power if the scooter tips over. Both the scooters come with theft and tow alerts, geofencing and live location tracking, which makes them that much more secure.

One interesting feature the Simple OneS gets is the smartwatch integration. This feature lets you control your scooter through an app with your smartwatch. The Simple one also comes with the ‘Find My Scooter’ function, which lets you blink its indicators with the press of a button, making it visible if it is parked in a crowded place.

The last and the largest feature difference between these scooters is the instrument console. The Simple OneS comes with a 7-inch TFT unit, while the Ather 450S has a 7-inch LCD unit. That said,  both of these scooters come with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation. However, the TFT on the Simple OneS is more modern and well laid out and looks aesthetically pleasing.

    Price & Verdict

    Simple OneS

    Ather 450S

    Rs, 1,39,999

    Rs 1,44,999

    *(Both prices are ex-showroom)

The price difference between these scooters is Rs 5,000, which is significant for budget-conscious buyers. The Simple OneS is a relatively new product and offers much better features than the Ather 450S, in our opinion.

But, do note that Ather has been in the market for quite some time now and has built a strong reputation for being reliable and fun to ride. Simple is yet to reach that point, and this may affect the buying decision of some buyers.

If you are on a tight budget and want a good, fun, and practical scooter, you can also go for the Ather 450S without the AtherStack Pro Pack, which costs Rs 1,30,999. But, you will miss out on features like hill hold control, reverse mode, crash detection, regenerative braking, panic brake alerts and the find my scooter function, among others.
