New TVS Scooty Streak Hybrid to hit the Indian roads

TVS Motor India, India's leading two-wheeler maker is going to introduce its new TVS Scooty Streak Hybrid in India by December 2010. After getting a good response from the market, the company launched TVS Jive and TVS Wego. Now, the company's next strategy to launch a new hybrid Scooty in India. TVS Scooty Streak comes with a smart and sleek unisex styling. Some of special features are a cellphone charger and a lockable front glove box to store handy items. The Li-Tech engine makes the scooty streak light, zippy and the most efficient bike in its segment. The engine has been equipped with a 4-stroke and Electric Motor + Single Cylinder, which delivers a maximum power of 3.68 kW/(5 bhp) at 6500 rpm. The company has not announced price tag, but according to some website reports the new TVS Scooty Streak Hybrid is to be priced at Rs. 48,000. Automatic gear system will also be available in new Hybrid streak. TVS Motor claims to have achieved phenomenal 30 percent decrease in CO2 emission and 25 percent reduction in HC+ NOx emission with a 30 percent growth in the fuel economy. The Li-Tech petrol engine displacement will be 87.7cc combine an eclectic motor with it receiving all its power through a lead acid battery. It is capable of running on petrol or electricity on a combination of both petrol and electric. The company intends to display its new TVS Scooty Streak Hybrid in the five various colours option such as Breezy Blue, Mystic Mauve, Super Red, Perky Pink, and Magic Black. On the other hand, Yamaha Motor is also planning to roll out its two new premium motorbikes Yamaha SZ and Yamaha YZF R125 by the end of this year.
