KTM 250 Adventure Ownership Experience: Priyankar Chowdhury - From Attending To Leading KTM ProXP Rides
Priyankar rides a KTM 250 Adventure and lead KTM ProXP rides around West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand

Every rider dreams of pushing limits, being more skilled and experienced and exploring new terrains with his bike. Such is the story of Priyankar, whose journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. From once being a participant in KTM Pro XP rides to now leading them in West Bengal and nearby states, his transformation is a testament to skill, passion, and relentless dedication.
Start of Priyankar’s KTM Journey
Priyankar has had many bikes in the past and the KTM 250 Adventure is his 13th bike. On asking how and why he chose the 250 Adventure, he told us that his wife loved the KTM Adventure bikes and she asked him many times to test ride a KTM ADV to see if that can be his next bike. So, Priyankar borrowed one of his friend’s 250 Adventure and rode it for over 100km. That ride convinced him that the KTM 250 Adventure is the perfect bike for him and his needs. Finally, Priyankar took delivery of his ADV on 4th January 2024

Priyankar also mentioned, “Some of my friends suggested getting the 390 Adventure instead. But I felt I didn’t need that much power and since I mainly ride in the mountains, I believed the 250 Adventure would be perfect. My plan was to start with the 250 and later upgrade to the 390. Now that the new 2025 KTM 390 Adventure is here I am planning to get one soon.
Priyank also did the Ladakh Expedition on his KTM 250 Adventure. He was accompanied by 12 riders who rode from Kolkata to Ladakh, covering 8 high altitude passes in Ladakh including Umlingla, Khardungla, Zojila, Baralachala, Nurnula, Photila and more. They also sang the Indian national anthem on the highest motorable road in the world at Umlingla pass (19,024 feet). For which, Priyankar and his fellow riders have been recognised by the India Book of Records.

Journey from From Attending To Leading KTM ProXP Rides
Priyankar also talked about how he used to attend KTM rides at the start as a customer and later, got to join the KTM West Bengal team to lead the rides. Priyankar told us that he shared his profile, and experience with KTM and a few months later, he was appointed as an expert rider for KTM Pro XP rides.
Priyankar told us that he supervises the events/rides and ensures everything runs smoothly. He said, “It’s been a dream come true. I once attended KTM rides as a customer, and now I’m leading them. It’s an honor. And even with a 250 Adventure, I keep up with the 390s and lead the group.”

Talking about his 250 Adventure ownership experience Priyankar told us, “My KTM 250 Adventure has been fantastic. In one year, I’ve ridden 19,000km, all in the mountains. The 250 Adventure is an incredible bike—it has great power, handling, suspension, and braking. The ABS works beautifully, even at high speeds like 100-110kmph. The 200mm ground clearance is perfect for off-roading”
Priyankar and his fellow riders have already planned to upgrade to the new KTM 390 Adventure to make many more happy memories, and go on unforgettable adventures. Ktm 250 adventureUpdate the KTM to measure because I wanted a lightweight that could handle both city rights, and we traps it offers good performance, comfortable economics and features for the price without feeling to intimidating. The bike is fun to ride and handle really well especially on twisted road the, suspension is decent but I wish the low and top was very strong in the city traffic or its been a satisfying experience well. Yes, it depends on your age. Its a great option for beginner and touring enthusiast. If you want stronger higher performance with 1 billion or a luggage you might prefer bigger capacity adventure bike, god has make everyone equal, why it should be the same way right now it could be better now.Read More
Ready to Adventure.I also have a Duke, Adv has covered all the issues which I have faced on Duke when I use to go on long rides, Ride is also plush coupled with a great engine which proves itself on all grounds. Also it has a decent fuel efficiency considering its engine performance. Bike's comfortable its mileage is also good I get a decent range, but the engine won't feel as raw as BS4 duke, great electronics and safety. Just having engine oil consumption on higher side. Also the Trampler tyres give more life than Turanzas which came initially. Long hauling person should definitely buy this bike, long rides are so hassle free. And comfortable, also if you have to carry any luggage they have provided good anchoring points. Tieing a back pack or a duffle bag is easy.Read More
