Honda has launched the Shine BS6. It is available in two variants: Drum and Disc, with prices starting at Rs 67,857 (ex-showroom, Delhi). That is a premium of Rs 7,867 over the base BS4 CB Shine. Updates include a new motor with cosmetic and feature upgrades.
The biggest update is the new 125cc motor. It now gets fuel injection that claims to improve mileage by 14 percent. The BS6-compliant motor now makes 10.7PS at 7500rpm and 11Nm at 6000rpm, 0.4PS and 0.5Nm more than the BS4 CB Shine. Like, the Activa 6G, Dio BS6 and SP 125, the new motor too gets an ACG starter motor that offers extremely silent starts. Another major update is the introduction of a 5-speed gearbox. It should help the Shine BS6’s motor run relaxed at highway speeds.
Other than the motor, the Shine BS6 gets cosmetic upgrades in the form of a DC headlamp, updated tail lamp, engine kill switch, new instrument console design, and new graphics with updated chrome trim on the headlamp visor and side panels. The Shine BS6 is available in 4 colours: Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic & Athletic Blue Metallic.
In the underpinnings department, the Shine SP BS6 now gets a 27mm longer seat which sits flush with the fuel tank now. The wheelbase is 19mm longer for better stability while ground clearance has gone up by 5mm. Suspension setup includes telescopic forks and dual 5-step adjustable shock absorbers.
Honda is offering a six-year (3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty) on Shine BS6. The Honda Shine BS6 competes with the Hero Super Splendor and Bajaj Discover 125.

Good mileage on highway and pickup is mind blowing, I love this bike this is the best bike for daily use, i'm using very roughly and i spent 250 rupees of petrol in this bike, and cover 150 km smoothly, that's why i love this bike. This bike is very comfortable with my experience because I drive this bike daily approx 120/130 kms using 180-200 ruppes of petrol in that also bike will save some petrol in the performance of controlling this the best bike. I already had a Honda Shine 125 cc which was working better, keeping that in mind, I bought my second Honda Shine 125 cc in November 2025, but I felt that the quality was compromised in it. Earlier I used to praise Honda's engine a lot, but not anymore. My first Honda Shine was running very well so I did not buy it whereas my new bike is having a lot of problems like engine oil leakage and gear shifting and I am very sad to see that. Now I will not tell anyone to buy Honda Shine. Compared to the old Honda Shine, the new Honda shine is made of very poor quality. The metal used in it is also of very poor quality. I purchases shine bike because of this bike condition, seating capacity, break, clutch everything is fine working. My neighbours also chose this bike, many people are using this. Wheels are in very good condition. This bike is good for long journey 300 kms at a time. No pains, smooth drive, comfortable riding, no shaking, two members capacity in ride. Honda shine has so many features that every person required, It's about long run and its been kind to us, i mean honda reliability is pretty good, its basic but gives good mileage, pretty everything nothing extra thats it for me. Its been pretty good i mean its has issues like power dop that gear shifting becomes a ritual for this low cc bikes cant argue, but long rides feels so smother and good definetly smoother point thats it. yeah, if youre riding in rural and urban areas it goes both ways smoother rides on the flats roads, never had a issue with thing except for the fact it looks so basic, and i can get over it, thats me except its pretty good.Read More
