Feature-loaded Honda Dio In The Works
The sporty scooter to get keyless ignition and aesthetic updates
Looks like the Honda Dio will be the next product from the bikemaker to get the smart features that we saw on the Activa H-Smart. Details of the Honda Dio H-Smart have leaked online, revealing the sporty 110cc scooter’s newer bits.
Just like the Honda Activa H-Smart, the Dio will get keyless functionality, offering features like keyless ignition. It helps locate the scooter too. With the multi-function button, placed where traditionally the key would go, you can unlock the scooter, access the underseat storage and fuel filler cap.

On the styling front, the Honda Dio will feature alloy wheels that were seen on the Sports variant. Though the images show a drum brake at the front, we hope Honda has a variant with a disc brake.
Mechanically, the scooter remains unchanged. The Honda Dio continues with its 109.51cc air-cooled engine making 7.76PS and 9Nm.
The Honda Dio is expected to debut next month and would demand a slight premium over its current pricing of Rs 68,625 (STD) and Rs 72,626 (DLX) (both ex-showroom Delhi). With the Hero Xoom 110 in the picture, the Honda Dio has a lot of work cut out for it.
