The fully faired motorcycle is likely to arrive in India next year

[UPDATE: CFMoto has made its India debut with the launch of four products: 300NK, 650NK, 650MT & 650GT. Head here for the pricing and other details.]

The 250SR was unveiled at a motorsport event in China. The 250cc bike shares its underpinnings with the 250NK. It will compete against the Honda CBR250R and the upcoming Suzuki Gixxer SF 250.

CFMoto has launched a new fully faired, race-spec concept version of the 250NK, called the 250SR. The Chinese company will launch a road-going version of the 250SR in the international market soon. And as per our sources, the bike maker is planning to launch the 250SR in India in 2020.

The production version of the 250SR’s styling will be watered down a bit and will definitely miss out on the Akrapovic exhaust. Being a sporty offering, the upcoming motorcycle will feature clip-on handlebars instead of the single-piece units seen on the 250NK. The 250SR gets new alloy wheels, a TFT instrument cluster and sportier ergonomics.

Powering the fully faired motorcycle is a 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor. In the 250NK, this motor churns out 26.5PS of power and 22Nm of torque. However, we expect the 250SR to get a slight power bump in the same way as the 650cc lineup, which has different power outputs to suit different riding styles. The 250SR features the same suspension setup as the 250NK -- telescopic fork up front and a monoshock. Braking hardware consists of disc brakes at both ends and we expect it to get dual-channel ABS.

There’s still no confirmation about the price, but it could be priced around Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom). If CFMoto launches the 250SR at this price, it will go up against the upcoming Gixxer SF 250 and the Honda CBR250R
