EXCLUSIVE: Updated TVS NTorq 125 To Launch Soon?

TVS has filed a new patent hinting at an update

Quick News Highlights:

  • Patent shows a tall windscreen and new front cowl

  • Could be for a touring-focused NTorq 125 variant

  • May also be offered as an official accessory

The patent filed by TVS includes components listed as a ‘handlebar cover’ and ‘vehicle front cover’. The images show a redesigned front section with a tall windscreen, which is not seen on the standard TVS NTorq 125.

Design

The patent shows a larger, more upright windscreen mounted on a new handlebar cowl. Compared to the current NTorq, the updated bits could improve wind protection, especially at higher speeds. The front cover also appears to be reshaped, with sharper lines and a slightly bulkier look. The mounting points for the windscreen are visible, indicating that this is not just a cosmetic addition but a functional one.

What Could It Be?

There are two likely possibilities. One is that this TVS scooter could get a new touring-oriented variant. This will appeal to riders who use their scooter for longer daily commutes or the occasional highway run.

The second possibility is that this could simply be an official accessory. The brand already offers a wide range of add-ons for its models through its accessories lineup, and this windscreen setup could be another option for existing NTorq owners.

Will It Be Launched?

A design patent is mainly filed to protect the design legally and does not guarantee a launch. For now, it is unclear whether this will become a new variant or become an official accessory. If launched as a variant, it could also get the 5-inch TFT from the TVS NTorq 150 (also seen on the TVS Apache RTR 310 and TVS Apache RTX 300). However, there is no official confirmation on this yet.

NTORQ 125 Review

Sporty and stylish looking scooter. The scooter provides comfort for long distance travels. The quick acceleration is also a key factor. Best scooter in this price range with 125cc and disc brake and bluetooth feature. Positives include the price mainly, then there are the looks, about how sporty it looks. Having bluetooth at the price range is a steal. usually, base models scooters in this price range doesn't offer disc brake, they are usually drum brakes which is not the case here. Yes, I would absolutely love to recommend this scooter with anybody. The bluetooth disc brakes and price range will be the main reason for it. Also, TVS provides great service. These are the reasons for my recommendation.Read More
