Top 5 Affordable Commuter Bike Launches In 2025: Hero Xtreme 125R, Glamour X 125, Honda CB125 Hornet, Yamaha FZ Series, Oben Rorr EZ Sigma

2025 turned out to be a strong year for commuter-focused motorcycles in India. Amid rising interest in practical everyday bikes, several manufacturers refreshed existing favourites and introduced new models in India. Here’s a quick rundown of five noteworthy commuter bikes that arrived in 2025:

    Hero Glamour X 125

Price: From Rs 82,967 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Hero Glamour X 125
The Hero Glamour X 125 brought fresh life to the 125cc commuter class with a host of features that aren’t typical for this segment. It’s powered by the same 124.7cc single-cylinder engine as the Xtreme 125R, making 11.5 PS and 10.5 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike gets features like cruise control (segment-first), ride modes, a 5-inch colour LCD console with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation — rare tech for a commuter. Mileage claims hover around 65kmpl, and it retains a comfortable upright posture with tubeless alloys and LED lighting.

    Hero Xtreme 125R Update

Price: From Rs 89,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Hero Xtreme 125R

Hero’s updated Xtreme 125R continued to blur the lines between everyday commuting and sporty riding. Using a similar 124.7cc motor that produces around 11.55 PS and 10.5 Nm, the updated Xtreme mixes practical commuter credentials with a more youthful, aggressive design language. It offers decent mileage, all-LED lighting, an LCD console with connectivity, cruise control and dual-channel ABS, making it a compelling pick for those who want a bit more fun without sacrificing practicality.

    Honda CB125 Hornet

    Price: Rs 1,03,582 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Honda CB125 Hornet

Honda’s entry into the sporty 125cc commuter segment came in the form of the CB125 Hornet. This bike uses a 123.94cc air-cooled engine that produces about 11.14 PS and 11.2 Nm, complemented by a 5-speed gearbox. It brings bold styling to the commuter class, with alloy wheels, LED lighting and a 4.2-inch TFT display. Mileage is claimed at around 48kmpl, and its design (thanks to the golden-coloured USD fork - first on an air-cooled 125cc bike in India) and stance make it stand out among the usual commuter crowd.

    Yamaha FZ Series Updates

Price: From Rs 1,08,466 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Yamaha FZ-S FI Hybrid

Yamaha’s FZ line received updates and launches in 2025 that continued to push its identity as a refined, Japanese commuter series with a bit of flair. While not a ground-up redesign, the 2025 FZ models brought refreshed aesthetics and modern features like mild-hybrid assist and a TFT display. The core 149cc engine, producing around 12.4PS and 13.3Nm, remains unchanged, making it a solid choice for daily rides at pocket-friendly running costs.

    Oben Rorr EZ Sigma

    Price: Rs 1,17,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Oben Rorr EZ Sigma
Stepping into the electric commuter space, the Oben Electric Rorr EZ Sigma arrived as one of the more interesting EV options in 2025. This electric bike, available with battery packs up to 4.4kWh, offers up to around 175km of claimed range, and a claimed top speed of 95kmph. It blends commuter practicality with modern EV tech, including a TFT display, app connectivity and multiple riding modes. While pricing for EVs still sits above equivalent petrol bikes, the Sigma is a fairly well-rounded electric commuter bike.

Yah bike bahut achha hai is price mein aapko iss tarah ke naye features, speed, nahin milega, maine sabhi type ke motorbike dekhe iss price ke range men nahin mila kuch, kuch disadvantage hain, look na jyada sporty or na hi jyada old type hai, average mileage 55 -61 ha, iska bas ek hi disadvantage abs system hona chahiye tha top model men kam se kam.

      my own bike
I bought this bike 3 months ago, I'm currently very happy with this the performance of the bike, it's enormous and I really like it, Many of 125 cc bike I seen and riding with my friends, I bought my own, I'm very happy to own this, and also trusting of the Honda's refinement performance. I actually bought this bike because of learning bike riding from scratch and it's worth it.

      Great bike but poor seats.
For fat tyres, good stability, economic good looking city commuter. Bought in 2020 still using it. Though modified the seat cushion as per usage. Great looking bike since launched till now. I loved the profile at first look. I have the fzs v3 version. It's good overall bike. Bulky body fat tires look great. Seating is average for both pillion and rider. I would put it as a good city commuter. But not made for long rides. If the seats were better it would have been a king. Try the seats and a long drive above 30km first to settle down with this bike. Everything except the seat cushion is great. Yes for city drives definitely recommend for performance safety & mileage. But check seats first.

Very good looking motorcycle, great performance -
I was looking for a performance oriented ev bike that my budget while saving on petrol cost. After comparing many EVs, I chose tha oben rorr ez sigma because of its advanced LFP battery technology, which is safer and lasts longer. The ride experience has been impressive. The acceleration is punchy, hitting 40 km/h in just under 5sec. Handling is light and agile, making it easy to maneuver through narrow streets. The havoc mode given a thrilling performance. Yes definately. If you are tired of rising petrol price and want a bike that look like a normal petrol bike but run on electricity, then go for it. For city daily rides and going college or work, it is the best choice for you.
