Triumph has introduced a new low seat height accessory for the Speed 400 and Speed T4. It is basically an optional accessory seat which lowers the seat height by 15 mm. The stock seat height for the Speed 400 is 803 mm, and that for the Speed T4 806 mm. This new lower seat accessory brings down the seat height to 788 mm and 791 mm for the Speed 400 and Speed T4 respectively.
According to the Triumph Pune dealership, this new seat is available for Rs 3,000, which is quite reasonable. Interestly, this seat can also be fitted to the Scrambler 400 X and Scrambler 400 XC, both of which have a high seat height of 835 mm. With this new seat installed, the seat height goes down to a more accessible 820 mm, but you will lose the comfort of the split seat setup.
Overall, this new accessory should be a great option to consider for shorter riders, and should make their riding experience a bit more comfortable and hassle free.

It's been amazing, especially on the highways. It's like a rocket on the right roads. The bike handles well in the city. It gets a bit too hot for long rides, but overall no issues. Gives a mileage of 32-33 kmpl on highways and around 20-25kmpl in the city. Would absolutely recommend this bike. If you love riding regularly and want a bike that's good for daily commuting and for long rides, I highly recommend this bike. - a true scrambler!I’ve the original 398cc displacement yellow XC what a great bike. Around the city, it is easy to manoeuvre and so tractable. Overtakes are buttery smooth in any gear. Being a single cylinder, highway performance when you’re cruising over 110kmph is a little buzzy especially if you sit at over 7000-7500 rpm. But this is as good as a single cylinder bike gets. Suspension gives you feedback but never lacks absorption. For riders with a short inseam, the saddle height may trouble them but riding tall bikes is a skill which anyone can learn and it just looks so so so pretty.Read More
