Top 5 Bikes Which Were Updated In 2026, That Make Better Sense To Buy In Diwali

From affordable performance bikes, to sporty commuters and even an EV

2026 has been an interesting year for the Indian two-wheeler market, with several popular motorcycles and scooters receiving meaningful updates. Instead of just cosmetic changes, manufacturers have focused on improving features, usability, performance and, in some cases, pricing. With Diwali around the corner, here are five updated two-wheelers that now make a stronger case for themselves.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z
Price: Rs 1,90,015 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Bajaj updated the Pulsar NS400Z with a downsized 350 cc engine in 2026 to keep its price within the government’s authorised regulations. The smaller engine also helped Bajaj make the motorcycle more affordable without taking away much of its appeal. The best part is, the NS400Z recently received a 5-inch TFT console with connected features and Google Maps mirroring, making it a more premium package. This Diwali, the updated NS400Z makes a strong case as an affordable performance bike with plenty of features.

KTM 390 Duke
Price: Rs 2,84,116 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The KTM 390 Duke also received a downsized 350 cc engine this year. While it makes slightly less power than the 398cc 390 Duke R, the motorcycle still retains the aggressive character that has made the Duke so popular.

We tested both motorcycles back-to-back and found the 350 cc version to be slightly more beginner-friendly, while still feeling like a proper hooligan. The biggest advantage is its Rs 61,177 lower price, despite offering a similar feature list. This Diwali, the 350 cc 390 Duke makes more sense for riders who want KTM’s performance without paying extra for the 390 Duke R.

Royal Enfield Classic 350
Price: Rs 1,94,668 (ex-showroom, Chennai)

Royal Enfield made the Classic 350 easier to live with by adding a slip-and-assist clutch. The lighter clutch operation is particularly useful in stop-and-go traffic, while the assist function also adds an extra layer of safety during aggressive downshifts. The update may seem small, but it improves one of the motorcycle’s most important everyday aspects. This Diwali, the Classic 350 is an even better option for buyers looking for a comfortable and easy-going motorcycle for daily use as well as weekend rides.

Bajaj Pulsar N160 SS
Price: Rs 1,42,585 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The Pulsar N160 received a significant update with a 4-valve head, more power, improved hardware and several new features. It also became the first Bajaj motorcycle to get a proper 5-inch TFT console with connected technology and Google Maps mirroring. This combination makes the N160 SS feel considerably more premium than before, while retaining the practicality of a 160 cc motorcycle. This Diwali, it makes a lot of sense for buyers who want a practical commuter with premium-bike features.

TVS iQube Base 2.3kWh
Price: Rs 1,16,310 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

TVS has also made the base iQube more practical by giving it a larger 2.3 kWh battery. It now offers an IDC range of 114 km and takes around 2 hours 50 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 per cent. The 68 kmph top speed is slightly lower, but for everyday city use, the iQube’s practical range and family-friendly nature make it a sensible choice. This Diwali, the updated iQube is worth considering as an easy-to-use electric scooter for daily family commuting.
