Ola Gig Electric Scooter Range Silently Discontinued
They were launched back in 2024, but never hit showrooms – even after being delayed

Quick News Highlights:
-
Ola has silently removed the Gig and Gig+ from its official website
-
These electric scooters never hit the showrooms
-
The S1 X (2kWh) at Rs 84,999 still remains Ola’s most affordable scooter
Ola Electric’s planned budget scooters, the Gig and Gig+, appear to have been discontinued as they’ve been quietly removed from the company’s official website. The Gig line-up was launched as low-cost delivery scooters, but they never reached showrooms. There has been no formal statement from Ola Electric about the discontinuation yet, but the removal of both scooters from official listings strongly suggests the project has been shelved.

Announced, Displayed, But Never Sold
The Ola Gig range was first revealed in late 2024 and later even displayed at Auto Expo 2025. With introductory prices of Rs 39,999 for the Gig and Rs 49,999 for the Gig+, the scooters were positioned as simple, work-focused electric two-wheelers meant for last-mile connectivity in cities.
What They Had
They featured removable batteries, basic hardware and cargo mounting points – to keep costs low and practicality high. However, deliveries were delayed and these electric scooters never hit the road. As a result, the Gig range remained limited to announcements and event displays.

What This Means
With the Gig project no longer visible in Ola’s lineup, buyers looking for an affordable Ola Electric scooter will still have to start higher up the price ladder. The Ola S1 X with the 2kWh battery pack, priced at Rs 84,999 – continues to be the company’s most affordable scooter currently on sale.

Useful Scooter for Daily WorkMain gaon me rehta hu aur hamare yahan se city kaafi dur hai. Isliye maine Ola S1 X li taki roz ke kaam aur city aane-jane me petrol ka kharcha bache. Ab tak scooter accha chal raha hai. Ride comfortable lagti hai aur daily use ke liye comfortable hai. Ghar par charge kar leta hu, isse bahar charging ki tension bhi kam rehti hai. Mere hisaab se gaon aur city ke daily travel ke liye ye ek accha option hai. Ride so far has been good. Main gaon me rehta hu aur city aana jana rehta hai. Scooter chalane me smooth lagta hai, pickup bhi daily use ke liye theek hai. Seat comfortable hai aur traffic ya gaon ki normal roads par handle karna easy lagta hai. Ab tak mujhe koi badi problem nahi aayi aur daily use ke liye ye reliable laga. Yes me bilkul recommend karunga.
