Ather Electric Scooters Now Available Through CSD For The Armed Forces

There’s a special discount on these scooters for defence personnel

Quick Highlights:

  • Ather electric scooters now available through CSD portal

  • All variants of the Rizta, and 450 (except for the 450 Apex)

  • The brand is also offering additional discounts on the purchase

Bengaluru based EV manufacturer Ather Energy, has received approval to sell its electric scooters through the Canteen Stores Department (CSD) portal. Sales are expected to begin from September 2026, allowing eligible Armed Forces personnel to purchase Ather scooters through the platform.

Eight variants from Ather’s 450 and Rizta ranges have been listed on the CSD platform, with the 450 Apex excluded. Ather is among the first two electric two-wheeler manufacturers in India to have its products listed on the CSD portal. Armed Forces personnel purchasing an Ather scooter through CSD will also get special discounts offered by the company. These benefits will be available over and above the GST benefits applicable to purchases made through CSD, making the scooters more attractive to eligible buyers.

With eight variants available, Armed Forces personnel will have multiple options to choose from based on their requirements. The CSD listing also marks another step towards making electric two-wheelers more accessible as EV adoption continues to grow across India.

In a related development, here is all the information about the upcoming Ather Konarc electric scooter.

Ather's upcoming future scooter makes scooters kee

My friend has bought this scooter and I have also ridden it. It has very good ride quality and gives very good range. Even 2 people can sit comfortably. It gives good range. The seat is also very comfortable. I would recommend everyone to buy it because it is the best. It is the best in mileage. It drives on the road and highway as if you are sitting in a car. The suspension is very good. Even on rough roads, there is no problem as its suspension is very firm and soft, so there are no jolts at all. I like it. Actually, this scooter is good for everyone from small children to adults. It does not cause any jolts at all and runs very smoothly. Whom not to buy is not a word in my dictionary because this scooter is made for everyone. I will recommend it to everyone.Read More

My opinion

It has clean finishing good looking, thin having, good mileage, having better features than any other petrol scooter, it is electric vehicle it is sports scooter so it has modes too fast charging service centre is available. I had done something around 12000 km driven this scooter for long ride it isn't good it is slightly uncomfortable it could give you back pain and scooter may could get heat if you are riding in the summer weather. This scooter isn't for long ride but if you want this for going to college, school or for work it's good vehicle. This scooter looks attractive and has good enough speed to reach the destination. Its good scooter you can go for it if you want. Read More
