Starting with the instrument console, the KTM 160 Duke feels slightly more premium. It comes equipped with a larger 5-inch TFT console, similar to the one seen on the bigger KTM 200 Duke. The display is sharp, easy to read, and can be operated via dedicated menu switches on the left handlebar. Bluetooth connectivity enables turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call alerts and music control through KTM’s KTM Connect smartphone app.
The Yamaha MT 15 V2, on the other hand, gets a smaller 4.2-inch TFT console. Through Yamaha’s Y-Connect app, it allows for smartphone connectivity, and offers features like notifications alerts for both, SMS and calls, along with turn-by-turn navigation. It also supports features like last parked location, mileage tracker, and ride analytics.
When it comes to braking and electronic safety, both motorcycles are equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard. The KTM goes a step further by offering a Supermoto ABS mode, which allows riders to switch off rear-wheel ABS while retaining front ABS to enable controlled slides. However, the KTM misses out on a switchable traction control system, which the Yamaha offers as standard. Traction control Improves safety by reducing rear wheel slip on slippery surfaces or during aggressive acceleration.

In conclusion, the KTM 160 Duke TFT variant stands out with its premium display and Supermoto ABS, appealing to experienced riders who like to have fun sliding around. However, it is Rs 13,027 more expensive than the Yamaha, which is a significant amount of money.
The Yamaha MT-15 V2 still offers a great set of features. The traction control, in particular, will be appreciated by newbie riders. Those who like bikes with Japanese engineering will find the MT-15 to be a well-rounded package, especially at its price point.
