Hero XPulse 210 vs XPulse 200 4V: Top 5 Differences Explained
Old faithful against the new kid on the block, find out which fits you better

Hero’s XPulse lineup offers riders two distinct flavours: the original XPulse 200 4V, or the newer, more powerful XPulse 210. Here’s how these two bikes differ and which one might suit you best:
Engine
The biggest and most obvious difference between the Hero XPulse bikes. The XPulse 210 gets a 210cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 24.6PS and 20.7Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It’s smoother at higher speeds and still has enough power for overtakes, allowing comfortable cruising around 90-100kmph – something that the 200 4V has always struggled at.

The Hero XPulse 200 4V is powered by a smaller, simpler 199.6cc air-oil cooled single making 19.17PS and 17.35Nm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It works well for city rides and off-road trails, but runs out of steam after 75-80kmph. But due its more relaxed nature, it gives better real world mileage than the 210 (35-40kmpl vs 30-35kmpl).
Features & Safety
Both bikes get Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, phone alerts, LCD console, all LED lights, gear position indicator, USB charging port near the console, and a single-channel ABS.

The Hero XPulse 210 steps up its ABS with 3 modes: Road, Trail (rear off), and Off-road (completely off). The top model further adds dual-channel ABS and a 4.2-inch TFT panel. While the XPulse 200 has an LCD, it’s an old-school unit. Also, the single-channel ABS (front wheel) can't be turned off.
Underpinnings
Both Hero bikes have a double cradle tube chassis, telescopic fork, 10-step preload adjustable monoshock, 13-litre fuel tank, 220mm ground clearance, 276mm front and 220mm rear – petal disc brakes, 21-inch front wheel with a 90-section tyre and 18-inch rear with a 120-section – both spoked and tubed, with dual-purpose rubber.

The XPulse 210 has a fatter 41mm fork, and with more wheel travel at both ends: 210mm at the front and 205mm at the rear; the 200 gets 190mm and 170mm. The 200 4V has a 5mm lower seat height at 825mm compared to the 210’s 830mm. The smaller XPulse also weighs 8-10kg less at 160kg, as compared to 168kg (base) or 170kg (top) kerb weight of the larger XPulse.
Build Quality
The newer XPulse also benefits from improved build quality, better paint, and tighter panel gaps compared to the older one. Switchgear feels more solid, and overall materials feel more premium.

The Hero XPulse 200 is a good bike for off-road beginners and mainly city riders. It’s a light, fun, simple, and capable off-road dual-sport bike that’s most importantly affordable.
The XPulse 210 is the better all-rounder. Its stronger engine, smoother highway performance, modern console, and improved build make it more versatile for riders who also want some touring capability. If your budget allows, the 210 is the more complete package.
