Celebrating the milestone of 1 million sales Mahindra is giving cashbacks of Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 on the Centuro and the Gusto respectively.

Mahindra Two Wheelers is celebrating its milestone of achieving a sales figure of over 10 lakh two-wheelers in India. Making its new customers a part of this celebration the company announced that it will provide cashback offers on its popular models, the Centuro and the Gusto. You can avail a cashback of Rs 5,000 on the Mahindra Centuro and Rs 3,000 on the Gusto, which comes with starting price tags of Rs 43,250 and Rs 45,410 (both ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.

Currently, Mahindra is also selling the Rodeo UZo125, Duro SZ and its flagship motorcycle Mojo in India, which are not coming with this cashback offer. The scheme seems to be available for a limited time period. So if you are planning to buy a Centuro or Gusto, decide fast as it is the best time to buy any of these products.

Besides the celebration of 1 million sales, it seems more like a marketing strategy to make a slight improvement in the disappointing sales figures of the company. Despite having more advanced options now, Mahindra Two Wheelers' overall sales have declined from 1,65,364 unit in FY2014-15 to 1,44,355 units in FY2015-16. To regain its lost ground in the market the company is also bringing a new 150cc commuter which will be priced aggressively, close to that of a 125cc motorcycle.

As per some recent reports, Mahindra will also launch the Peugeot range of scooters in India by 2017, which will further help them to create a better brand value. Also, the company seems to be focusing on the premium segment in the coming years and we can see some more products based on the Mojo's platform in near future.
