A CNG bike could also be in the making

Hot on the tail of the 2024 KTM 390 Duke's launch, Bajaj has revealed its ambitious plans for the next six-months for the Pulsar moniker, and it seems to be pretty promising.

In a recent interview, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto revealed that the Chakan-based bikemaker is planning to launch six new or updated models of the Pulsar bikes. Additionally, the brand is also working on the biggest Pulsar yet.

At present, the biggest bikes in the Pulsar portfolio are the Pulsar N250 and F250, so the natural step up from that would be into the 400cc segment. And, it is highly likely that the upcoming bike could be a Pulsar 400 based on the Bajaj Dominar 400.

While it could borrow the engine from the Dominar, we expect it to stay true to the Pulsar name, with more agile riding experience.

About the CNG two-wheelers, Bajaj also revealed that making a CNG bike is very much on the table, a CNG scooter – not so much. However, the issue with a CNG bike featuring a CNG cylinder above the engine, is that it can get really vibey and if something starts leaking, things can go really long.

Summing up, all said and done, it is an exciting time for Bajaj considering all the upcoming Pulsars and the biggest one as well, and cost-efficient CNG bike incoming. Oh, and the most bit, except the CNG bike, the seven Pulsars are set to launch in India in the next six months.
