2025 Honda Activa 110 Vs Activa 125: Differences Explained

Honda recently updated the Activa 110 and the Activa 125 in India, with both the scooters getting OBD-2B compliant engines, fresh colours, and feature updates. Here’s an overview on how the scooters differ from each other:

Price and Variants:

The 2025 Activa is available for sale in three variants with prices starting at Rs 80,950 for the standard variant, Rs 90,469 for the Deluxe variant and Rs 94,471 for the H-smart variant (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). The 110cc scooter is available in six colour schemes: Pearl Precious White, Decent Blue Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Mat Axis Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue.

The Activa 125 on the other hand, is available in two variants and is priced at Rs 95,140 for the Standard variant and Rs 99,146 for the H-smart variant. The Activa 125 is also sold in six colour schemes: Pearl Igneous Black, Matt Axis Gray Metallic, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Siren Blue, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Precious White. 

Design:

The Activa, despite the 2025 update, retains its silhouette with just the alloy wheels being standard on all variants now. The Activa 125, when compared with its smaller sibling,  gets a different headlight and tail lamp design, along with chrome accents all over its body panels for a premium look. The side panels also look slightly beefier in the 125, along with a sharper-looking grab rail.

Engine:

The Activa is powered by a 109.51cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 7.99PS and 9.05Nm. On the other hand, the Activa 125 is powered by a 123.92cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 8.4PS and 10.5Nm. 

Both the engines are now OBD-2B compliant to meet the latest emission norms, and are equipped with stop-start tech that switches off the engine when idling for some time in traffic, and comes back to life at the twist of the throttle, thus conserving fuel and increasing mileage, especially on roads with heavy stop-and-go traffic.

Underpinnings:

Though the underpinnings are mostly shared, the base ‘Standard’ variant of the Activa 110 still gets the steel rims, while the mid-spec DLX and top-end H-smart variant come equipped with alloy wheels. The Activa 125 gets a 190mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brake while the Activa relies on drum brakes at both ends. Both scooters get a combined braking system.

What’s Common?

Features:

Both the scooters get an all-LED lighting setup, a 4.3-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity along with call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation via the Honda RoadSync app and are also equipped with a USB type-C charging port. The console in the two scooters also has a mileage indicator, along with the regular set of information. While the TFT console is standard across all Activa 125 variants, note that it is reserved only for the mid-spec and top-end variants of  the Activa 110. 

The scooters come with a lot of safety and convenience features like the silent starter motor for silent ignition, side-stand engine cut-off. The higher-end variants also get keyless ignition, find-me lamps, engine immobiliser with anti-theft, among others. Both scooters get the same 18-litre underseat storage, which is fairly decent for everyday needs.

Shared Underpinnings:

The Activa and Activa 125 share underpinnings and roll on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in 90-section front and 100-section rear tubeless tyres. The suspension setup too is shared with a telescopic front and a three-step adjustable monoshock.

Apart from the obvious differences in the powertrain, and as a consequence, the performance and mileage, the rest of the aspects, including the features and practicality bits are the same on both scooters. So you won’t miss out on much if you buy the more affordable 110cc Activa. But then again, if you’re looking for better performance and are okay with having relatively less fancy features, you can simply go for the entry level variant of the Activa 125, which is just about Rs 669 more than the top-end Activa 110.
