2024 Hero Destini 125 Launch Soon

Hero MotoCorp has sent us a first-ride invite for the updated 2024 Hero Destini 125 on September 6 and 7, 2024

We have received a first-ride invite for the upcoming 2024 Destini 125 from Hero MotoCorp. The ride will be on September 6-7, 2024 and we expect the 125cc scooter to launch on September 7, as well.

Earlier, the design patent image and another colour image of the 125cc scooter were leaked, revealing many details of the upcoming Hero Destini 125. The scooter gets an all-new design, one of the colours it will get is called the ‘Pearl Black’, which has a dual-tone glossy black and dark brown colour scheme with copper-coloured highlights. The single-piece seat of the scooter was also finished in a dual-tone shade. The tail section of the updated Destini 125 is also redesigned and gets a new tail light, which is likely to be LED. 

The patent image further reveals that the upcoming Destini 125 gets a cubby hole at the front apron, a new external fuel filler cap at the rear, a chunky grab rail and a pillion backrest. It also gets a new shorter and stubbier exhaust.

The leaked images also reveal the underpinnings of the scooter. The upcoming Destini 125 gets a telescopic fork and a side-mounted monoshock. It seems to have 12-inch alloy wheels on both ends, similar to the Hero Xoom 110. The scooter is equipped with a front disc brake for the first time and is likely to have a 130mm drum brake at the rear.

The scooter is expected to get the same 124.6cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes a peak output of 9.12PS at 7000rpm and 10.4Nm at 5500rpm. It is paired with a CVT (continuously variable transmission).

The current Hero Destini 125 is the cheapest 125cc scooter in India. However, the 2024 Destini 125 is likely to be priced at around Rs 5,000 more than the Destini 125 Xtec variant which costs Rs 86,538 (ex-showroom New Delhi). It will go up against the other 125cc scooters like the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter 125, and Fascino 125.
