2024 Hero Destini 125

The Hero Destini 125 has stood out as the most affordable 125cc scooter in India that comes packed with a decent list of features, a classy design and good performance. For 2024, the Destini 125 comes in an even more attractive package.

In the latest update, the Destini 125 looks very fresh. The basic silhouette of the scooter is the same as before, but the styling is more flashy and premium. It gets a new LED headlight and DRL that looks pretty fancy, along with the H-shaped taillight, with a tail section that extends out. The side panels are also new, and overall the scooter looks quite big now. That said, it doesn’t really stand out so much.

The Destini 125 gets a 125.6cc air-cooled engine making 9.12PS at 7,000rpm and a peak torque of 10.4Nm at 4,000rpm. In the 2024 model, the transmission has been updated and offers a smoother and more refined riding experience. This has also improved the fuel efficiency and is claimed to return a mileage of 59kmpl.

Apart from the smooth riding experience, the torque is also spread out well. So whenever you twist the throttle, either while starting off or while at moderate speeds, you get a good pull. This helps in quick overtakes and riding with a pillion in the city. It might feel very sporty, but it is pretty smooth.

Despite a 115kg kerb weight, the Hero Destini 125 feels pretty light and agile. The handling is also effortless and offers good manouevrabilty to navigate through city traffic. Along with that, the suspension offers a plush and very comfortable riding experience. Even with a pillion at the back, the suspension takes care of all the potholes, undulations and bad roads without any hassle.

In the 2024 Destini 125, the cubby hole at the front has been reduced in size which has made more space for the rider to sit comfortably. Even taller riders can fit their legs and move the handlebar without any discomfort. The seat too is now longer and can accommodate two tall riders easily.

While the Destini 125 was always feature-packed, in 2024, the list has only gotten bigger. The digital console has a very clean layout which is easy to read and is visible even under harsh sunlight. It also gets Bluetooth connectivity, SMS/call alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. The coolest thing about the new Destini 125 is the self-cancelling indicators, which is a pretty useful feature to have.
