- The instrument cluster features an analogue speedometer and a digital inset.
- Expect the digital inset to house details like tripmeters, odometer, fuel gauge, clock and the likes.
- The switchgear controls have been shaped like dials for a more retro flavour.
We already know the 2020 Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes with an all-new engine. Now, latest spy shots have revealed some interesting details about the bike’s instrument cluster and switchgear. While the outgoing Classic 350 gets a pretty old-school, minimalistic, all-analogue instrument cluster, the 2020 iteration features a new semi-digital unit. It does get an analogue speedometer to keep the retro vibe intact but complementing it is a modern LCD inset. We believe it could house all the important details like dual tripmeters, odometer readings, fuel gauge and perhaps even a clock.
Even though there’s space to house tell-tale lights below the speedometer needle, there doesn’t seem to be any indication of its presence. Interestingly, the ammeter pod to the right of the speedometer appears to be closed. We believe the tell-tale lights could be located over there.
The switchgear is unlike anything we’ve ever seen in a modern Royal Enfield. In fact, the switches in the 2020 Classic looks eerily similar to the one on the Royal Enfield Concept KX which the brand unveiled at the 2018 EICMA. There are dials in place of buttons for a properly retro feel. The engine kill switch on the right has been replaced with a dial which also integrates the ignition switch. On the left, the high/low/pass-beam combo switch has been replaced with a dial as well.
There’s a button up front, on the left side switchgear but its function is unclear. In the Concept KX, that button was for the pass-beam. The indicator and horn buttons are still conventional. On the right, the bike features a hazard lamp switch, which is a first for the Classic range.
A closer look at the left switchgear reveals the presence of a clutch cable tensioner as well. This indicates that the upcoming motorcycle could come with adjustable clutch and brake levers.
Expect Royal Enfield to launch the motorcycle by early 2020, pricing it between Rs 1.7 lakh and Rs 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the 2020 Royal Enfield Classic 350 will go up against the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400, Jawa Standard and the Jawa Forty Two.

First of all it was dream bike, so of course once in a dream and there is no going back and also, everyone choose the brand like royal enfield, only the real men can choose royal enfield and ride it like a king. Best bike ever. Good milege even in city roads and great balancing features to ride this beast smoothly. However, someone is willing to ride in city then also it is very good bike for them, It's a quite great bike, really smooth. Because, this bike is an emotion who loves the bike should only buy this bike else, I won't recommend more. People think that to buy bike is easy yes, it is easy but to keep maintain such bikes should need some passion or josh to keep the bike run smoothly so that brand never goes off in style.Read More
Good but I think Royal Enfield should work on speed and mileage and they have to work on silencer because it is mainly known for its sound. If sound is getting silent in bs6, the bullet is generally getting downgraded ratings from all customers. Royal Enfield should work on this side and overall the experience is good.Read More
