The updated MT-15 not cutting it for you? Here are a few same price alternatives

The updated MT-15 not cutting it for you? Here are a few same price alternatives

Yamaha recently launched the 2022 MT-15 Version 2.0, an updated model of its popular naked motorcycle. The MT-15 V2.0 is priced at Rs 1,59,900 (ex-showroom Delhi), demanding a premium of Rs 13,000 over its predecessor. It gets a bunch of new equipment and features, however, if it still doesn’t work for you, check out these same-priced alternatives.

Pulsar RS 200 (Rs 1.64 lakh)

If performance is what you are looking for on a budget, then the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 is the perfect alternative to the MT-15 V2.0 for you. It banks on the reliable 200cc liquid-cooled engine to maintain a balance of sporty performance and the ergonomics are forgiving enough for comfortable commutes.

    Honda CB200X (Rs 1.46 lakh)

Other than a naked or a faired bike, you can also opt for an adventure-themed motorcycle with the Honda CB200X. The entry-level ADV is more affordable than the MT-15, however, it gets lower performance figures even with a bigger displacement engine. It also misses out on a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. Despite everything, the CB200X is a good alternative for light trails and weekend rides.

KTM 125 Duke (Rs 1.70 lakh)

Apart from being a similarly priced alternative, the baby Duke is also the closest rival to the MT-15 Version 2.0. The KTM 125 Duke offers lower performance at a higher price, however, it is a great alternative for those who are keen on buying the most affordable KTM.

Suzuki Gixxer 250 (Rs 1.76 lakh)

By paying a premium of just Rs 16,000 more, you can get the Suzuki Gixxer 250. The naked motorcycle packs a bigger 250cc engine and churns out much more power than the MT-15. The Gixxer 250 produces about 8PS and 8Nm more than the MT-15 and also gets dual-channel ABS. On the features front, it gets a digital instrument cluster but no Bluetooth connectivity.

Bajaj Dominar 250 (Rs 1.64 lakh)

If you are looking for something that you can take on long rides, but at the same time can commute without hassle on the city roads with, then look no more. The Bajaj Dominar 250 is the perfect similarly priced alternative, producing 9PS more than the MT-15. It is a capable touring motorcycle with not just performance kept in mind but also the ride and comfort. To make the deal sweeter, it also gets dual-channel ABS.

As a daily commuter I love this bike
I chose this bike because of its good mileage, performance, and its aggressive look, which grabs a lot of attention by the way.,also, I ride 60 km daily to college, so I needed a bike that delivers better power, good mileage, and a good posture for my daily rides, that's why I chose the MT15. 1)Performance is Actually very good, the highs and lows are pretty good and fun to drive, but the mids are not that good ,sometimes i Feel a lack of power in the mids while overtaking in Kerala roads (hilly roads) 2) The mileage is very good,I am an aggressive rider and i get a mileage of about 40-43 and but if i ride below 7500 rpm i got a mileage of 45 above (actually i got(53)one time. 3)The Styles are very good an aggressive but the parts like the mirrors, the switches and the indicators are not that good as it is a premium bike they should have gave a good mirrors and switches 4)The service cost is cheap I think the last service cost was 1200 5)The main problem is with the pillion seat, the seat is smaller which makes the pillion.uncomfortable and the rider as well, also if there is a pillion the bikes lacks power, you can literally feel that 6)The handling is very very good actually ,its nimble and for city ride it is a perfect option also the leaning angle is pretty good 7) Sound is also good and not that loud but if you are on higher rpms it makes you feel like riding a sporty bike Yeah I would recommend this bike if you are a city rider who wants power as well as mileage and a good reliability, but if you have a pillion for a daily ride,it can cause some problems like lack of power and uncomfortable seating, and as i am college student i would recommend this bike for the college students who have a tight budget and needs a bike with a good mileage and looks

Best mix of style comfort and performance
I chose the Yamaha MT 15 because of its bold streetfighter look and strong performance. It has a powerful engine with good mileage for daily rides. The upright seating is comfortable for city traffic and short highway trips. It also feels light and easy to handle. The ride has been smooth and fun. The pickup is quick and the handling feels very sharp. It stays stable even at higher speeds and the braking gives good confidence. The suspension is firm but works well on most roads. It feels perfect for both daily use and weekend rides. Yes I would recommend the MT 15 to anyone who wants a sporty and practical bike. It suits college students and working people who want style comfort and performance together. It gives good mileage and has a strong road presence in its segment.
