The Japanese brand’s line-up for the new year looks quite promising, especially for big bike enthusiasts

Upcoming Yamaha Bikes And Scooters In 2026

Yamaha India’s current line-up could get more exciting in the upcoming year. This year will also see bigger Yamaha bikes make a comeback in India, after quite a while. From a humble e-scooter to a top-shelf naked bike, here’s what Yamaha enthusiasts can look forward to the new year:

    Upcoming Yamaha Scooters

    Yamaha Aerox E

Yamaha’s sportiest scooter in India can be soon had in an electric flavour. The Yamaha Aerox E will have a 6kWh battery pack powering a mid-mounted motor that will make 9.4kW and 48Nm. The claimed range is 106km. It will also have 3 power modes – Eco, Standard, Power – that should change the performance and range.

    Yamaha EC-06

The Yamaha EC-06 will be a more affordable, and practical electric scooter. It’s based on the River Indie but will have quite a few changes that will visually differentiate it. The EC-06 will have a 4kWh battery and a 4.5kW (rated) motor, the claimed range will be 160km.

Both the upcoming electric scooters were recently showcased in India, hinting that they could be launched this year.

    Upcoming Yamaha Sportbikes

    Yamaha YZF-R3

While Yamaha R3 has received a bunch of design changes internationally, Yamaha India still sells the previous iteration in India. However, the updated R3 could soon make its way here. That said, it only has aesthetic changes, and still continues to be powered by the time-trusted 321cc twin-cylinder motor.

    Yamaha YZF-R7

Yamaha’s big bikes remained only a dream for many Indian enthusiasts for a while now. But dreams could become a reality in the coming year. Starting with the YZF-R7, a twin-cylinder supersport. The R7 isn’t as hardcore as the now-discontinued R6; rather, it’s a friendly middleweight that appeals to those who prefer a sporty ergonomics and styling with an easy-to-tame behaviour.

The R7, but in a naked avatar. Similar friendly manners but more upright riding posture that will make it even easier and approachable. The Yamaha MT-07 will be a good upgrade for those who are currently riding something in the 200-300cc.

    Yamaha MT-09

The Yamaha MT-09 will be the flagship bike in Yamaha India’s line-up. However, its launch is expected in late 2026. It makes a decent 119PS and 93Nm from its 890cc three-cylinder engine that has a distinctly raspy exhaust note.
