TVS Orbiter Vs iQube 2.2kWh: Features of TVS' Electric Scooters Compared
We explain the feature differences between the two TVS electric scooters
The TVS Orbiter was launched recently at Rs 99,990 - which makes it the brand’s most affordable electric scooter. Sitting just above it is the iQube 2.2kWh variant, priced at Rs 1,09,942 (both prices ex-showroom Bengaluru). With a price gap of almost Rs 10,000 between the two, the real differentiator comes down to the features each scooter offers:
Console And Connectivity
The TVS Orbiter comes with a simple colour 5.5-inch LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, call and SMS alerts. It gets readouts for speed, battery status, and distance to empty. Live location, nearest charging station, and trip status are visible on the smartphone app.
The TVS iQube 2.2kWh meanwhile gets a 5-inch colour TFT console. Like the Orbiter, it also supports smartphone connectivity with calls, SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and other readouts - but no music controls. It adds automatic day/night mode for the display and Amazon Alexa voice commands as well.
So while both scooters get the basics covered, the iQube’s console feels a bit more polished, while the Orbiter delivers the essentials at a lower price.
Riding Aids
The Orbiter as standard comes with rider aids that are usually found on more expensive electric scooters. It gets 2 ride modes (Eco & City), hill-hold assist, regenerative braking, reverse mode, and the main highlight: cruise control.
The iQube also gets regen braking, 2 ride modes (Eco & Power), and reverse. Despite costing more, it misses out on hill-hold & cruise control. On paper, the Orbiter’s cruise control is nice to have for sure, but it may not be as useful in stop-go city traffic.
Safety
Both scooters get alerts for crash/fall, tow & anti-theft. Also included are geo & time fencing; as the names suggest, geo-fence alerts you if the scooter is outside a set area and time fence does the same but for a set time range. There’s also a side-stand down motor cutoff sensor.
The iQube gets a front disc brake without ABS, while the Orbiter has drum brakes at both ends with combined braking.
Convenience
The Orbiter offers a larger 34-litre underseat storage along with apron-mounted USB charging port and glovebox. The iQube makes do with slightly smaller 30-litre storage, a USB port also on the apron, but it skips the glovebox. Both get IP67 dust/water resistance rating for the battery-motor combo and LED lights all around.
While seat length and floorboard length are particularly not features, they’re still part of the convenience factor. The Orbiter has a longer seat as well as floorboard compared to the iQube, it even gets a relatively tall windscreen that the brand claims adds to aerodynamic efficiency, in turn helping boost range.
Battery, Range, Motor, & More
Keeping features aside, lets take a look at other specifications at a glance. The Orbiter has a bigger 3.1kWh battery capacity (2.2kWh for iQube), longer 158km claimed range (iQube has 94km), higher 169mm ground clearance (iQube has 157mm), and a larger 14-inch front wheel (iQube gets 12-inchers at both ends).
The iQube on the other hand has a more powerful hub-mounted motor at 3kW (2.1kW in Orbiter) higher top speed of 75kmph (Orbiter's 68kmph), lower kerb weight of 110kg (112kg for Orbiter), faster 0-40kmph time of 4.2 seconds (Orbiter takes 6.8s), and 0-80% charging takes 2 hours 45 min (Orbiter takes 4 hours 10 min).

Both the TVS scooters are feature-rich for their price point, but the Orbiter is clearly better equipped as standard - considering its lower asking price. The larger underseat storage, cruise control, reverse mode, and hill hold make it feel like a more complete package. However, this comes at the cost of lower performance, and a longer charging time.
If you value having the maximum number of features for the least money, the Orbiter is the better deal. If you’d rather pay a little extra for polish, quality of execution, and more performance , the iQube still has a strong appeal.

Good pickup, stylish design as the colour combination looks futuristic. TVS is a big brand, so service is very good and easy to find. Built quality is also one of the good reason to pickup this bike. It gives great experience. The range is a big concern while going to college. Except that, everything is very good like the pickup while overtaking vehicles, durability during pot-holes and a suspension works good. Yes, If you are looking for good service, take a look of this, may be the price and range doesn't match but the service and experience is very good.
