Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki has confirmed that its new adventure-bike model under the “KLE” nameplate will be officially revealed on 24 October 2025. While Kawasaki has kept most details under wraps, the teaser provides a picture of what to expect.
Design
From the official teaser video, we know that the Kawasaki KLE 500 will be an adventure tourer rather than an all out hardcore offroader. Also visible in the teaser is the split LED headlight setup, and rather large indicators – similar to the ones seen on the Kawasaki KLX230. So, they could likely be halogen units rather than LEDs, as they’ll be cheaper to replace in case of a fall. The LED headlight design also seems similar to the Ninja 500, but much more compact. It also gets knuckleguards, and a windshield – which we hope is adjustable. The rear is rounded off with a slim tail section and a rather plain-looking exhaust, at least judging by the silhouette.
Engine
The KLE 500 will borrow the 451cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine from the Kawasaki Ninja 500 and Kawasaki Eliminator, which is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. In the Eliminator, it makes 45PS at 9,000rpm and 42.6Nm at 7,500rpm. As for the Ninja, it produces 45.4PS at 9,000rpm and 42.6Nm at 6,000rpm. Expect the engine to be tuned differently in the KLE, hopefully with lots of low-mid-range grunt, possibly with a revised gearing as well.

The teaser footage shows a silhouette of the bike with what looks like a 21-inch front spoke wheel, a low-mounted front fender, inverted fork, 17-inch rear spoke wheel, likely with a linked monoshock. Whether the tyres with the spoke wheels will be tubed or tubeless is to be seen, but we hope it's the latter. The swingarm will most likely be a steel box-section type.
Expected Launch, Price, & Rivals
We know that the bike will be revealed on 24 October 2025, but it may not be launched then. It’s likely that the launch will take place during EICMA 2025 in November. Rivals will include the Honda NX500, Benelli TRK 502, soon-to-be-launched in India Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr, and upcoming bikes like the BMW 450 GS, Aprilia Tuareg 457.
As for India, Kawasaki has not yet confirmed a launch plan. If it does, it’ll be imported as a CKD (completely knocked down) unit rather than locally manufactured. It could be priced around Rs 6.5 lakh to 7 lakh, as the Ninja 500 is currently at Rs 5.66 lakh, and Eliminator at Rs 6.16 lakh (all prices ex-showroom) – both after the GST 2.0 related price hikes.
