Honda Dio 125: Features Explained
The Dio 125 is one of the most popular sporty scooters, and is also fairly well-equipped with usable features
Honda has equipped the Dio 125 with quite a few useful features, making it a fairly wholesome sporty scooter for young buyers. It comes in three variants and here is what each one will cost you:
|
Honda Dio 125 Variant |
Price (ex-showroom Delhi) |
|
Standard |
Rs 88,134 |
|
H-Smart |
Rs 93,084 |
|
X Edition |
Rs 88,133 |
Convenience Features
The Honda Dio 125 comes in three variants — STD, H-Smart, and X-Edition and all three share the same core setup: the 4.2 inches TFT display with average, realtime mileage, and range data, idle stop-start system silent starter, telescopic fork, single 3-step preload-adjustable shock absorber, a 190mm front disc brake with Combined Braking System, USB Type-C charging next to the glove box, and external fuel filler cap.
The differences show up in tech and styling. STD is the base variant that does not have Bluetooth or Smart Key, running on Self/Kick start. However, the H-Smart brings all the upgrade: a Multi-Function Smart Switch Unit, full Bluetooth connectivity through the RoadSync app (navigation, calls, messages, weather, music), and the Smart Key suite (enables find-my-scooter, key-less start, and remote lock/unlock). That said, it does not have a kick-start lever.
The X-Edition, built on the STD base, skips all this connectivity and instead focuses purely on looks: dual-tone body colours with bold graphics, and orange alloy wheels. Do note that all variants come with an 18-litre underseat storage capacity. While this isn’t really segment-leading, it should still be enough for regular grocery runs.
Safety Features
A key safety upgrade is the standard 190mm front disc brake paired with a Combined Braking System (CBS). This is a significant improvement over the 130mm drum brakes found on the smaller Dio 110. The Dio 125 also includes a side stand engine cut-off function, which prevents the engine from starting if the side stand is engaged.
BikeDekho Says
So the selection comes down to what matters most: STD for value, H-Smart for tech and convenience, and X-Edition for a bolder look without the connectivity premium. We’d recommend getting the Standard variant if you’re not going to be using the Smart features often. It covers all the essentials and doesn’t skip out on features that matter, which is the mileage indicator.
If you’re keen on using navigation often, then the H-Smart variant makes sense. Those looking for a sporty look may consider the X-Edition.
The Dio 125 competes directly with sporty scooters like the TVS Ntorq 125, Hero Xoom 125, Yamaha RayZR 125, and Suzuki Avenis 125, apart from its own sibling, the Honda Activa 125.
Honda Dio 125 User Reviews
Mujhe apne daily college jaane aur city ke kaam ke liye ek stylish aur powerful scooter chahiye tha. Market me bahut saare options the par unka look simple tha. Mujhe ek aisa scooter chahiye tha jiska design sporty ho. Honda Dio 125 ka look mujhe pahli nazar me pasand aa gaya. Iska look aur Honda ka bharosa, dono mil raha tha isiliye maine isko chuna. Is scooter ko chalane ka mera experience bahut badhiya raha hai. Iska 125cc ka engine bahut smooth hai aur traffic me pickup bhi zabardast milta hai. Long ride par seat bahut comfortable hai aur mujhe patna ke local traffic me isse lagbhag forty five se forty eight ka mileage aaram se mil jata hai. Main is scooter ko sabhi young logon aur college students ko lene ki salah dunga. Agar aapka budget ek premium scooter ka hai aur aap stylish look ke sath achha mileage aur majboot engine chahte hain to aapko bina soche is gadi ko kharidna chahiye, ye sach me ek paisa vasool scooter hai.Read More

Choosing a scooter is a matter of trust, and for me, that trust lies with the Honda brand. I ultimately choose the Dio 125 specifically because it had a good engine comparing to other rivals and the maintenance is also cheap . Because it's japanese company it is pretty reliable and can consider for long rides . I am owner of a all generation of the honda dio series this is my 4th honda dio .. so far this is the best dio so far because they have given the honda grazia engine to it by doing some calibrations . I had two choices which was this and tvs ntorq the ntorq Laks in refinement , reliability and good service that' the reason I have moved to a japanese brand and iam very much satisfied comfort is excellent. The seat is wide and supportive, making daily commutes very easy on the back. Both the rider and the pillion get wide, well-padded seats, contributing to excellent overall comfort on longer commutes.i even travel kerala to Chennai on a single day with this with multiple stops ... It's still holds no problem If you are a daily commuter but you want to have a sporty plus reliable scooter go for this and cheap in maintenance too , you don't have to think about the the engine because it's honda and you can trust this scooter. It even has all the features like tft display disk brakes at the front and a good cvt gearbox. The only cons would be the headlights it's completely useless on places other than city.Read More
