Honda Beat Scooter Design Patent Filed In India

The scooter is already on sale in Southeast Asian countries like Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia

Quick News Highlights:

- The Honda Beat is a step-through scooter which comes with a sporty look.
- The scooter is powered by the same 110cc engine as the Honda Activa 6G.
- It is equipped with large 14-inch alloy wheels.

Honda Two-wheeler India has filed a design patent for the Honda Beat petrol-powered scooter. The Honda Beat is already available in Southeast Asian markets like Thailand and Indonesia. It is powered by the same 110cc engine as the Honda Activa 6G.

The Honda Beat is a step-through scooter with a sporty design. It comes with an apron-mounted headlight, has sharp and sculpted body lines and large alloy wheels. The scooter gets a single-piece seat, a chunky single-piece grab rail and a sleek tail section. The slim and long exhaust is slightly upswept. The Beat comes in a range of colour options in the international markets, including red, blue, yellow, white, black and grey among others.

The Honda Beat is equipped with the tried and tested 109.5cc single-cylinder engine from the Honda Activa 6G. However, the engine makes 9PS at 7500rpm and  9.3Nm at 6,000rpm on the Beat, which is 1.2PS and 1.4Nm more than the Activa.

In terms of features, the Honda Beat gets a semi-digital instrument console. The analogue part shows the speedometer and the LCD screen has an odometer, fuel level indicator, and other basic details. It also gets a USB charging port, which is standard. It has a small 12-litre underseat storage.

The Beat comes with a telescopic fork and a monoshock. It gets a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, with CBS (combined braking system) as standard. The scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels, wrapped with 80-section front and 90-section rear tubeless tyres. With a kerb weight of 90kg, it is almost 15kg lighter than the Activa 6G. At 742mm, its seat height is also slightly higher than the Activa.

Will The Honda Beat launch in India?

The Honda Beat is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon, and the design patent has been filed mainly to protect the manufacturer’s legal rights to use the original design in India, sometime in future.

Honda Two-wheelers India has been filing a number of patents for scooters and bikes that the manufacturer sells in international markets just to protect their legal rights, and the same applies to the Honda Beat as well. Earlier, Honda India had filed patents for scooters including the Honda Stylo 160, and Honda NX125 and four big bikes including the Honda CB500 Hornet, Honda CBR500R, Honda CBR650R and Honda CB1000 Hornet.

I can't explain my feelings for this vehicle

Yes, There are so many things why I choose this scooter, first of all the colours like feel attractive and cool. Looks like classic and design is too good. comfort is excellent, overall nice experience. Universally trusted, relaxed and stable city ride. With its smooth linear acceleration (ideal between 40-70 km/h), effortless automatic CVT transmission and comfortable upright seating. It dominates Indian roads. Yes always, because this is the most classic and like always feel comfortable for any long and short travelling so I always recommend this vehicle and I personally feel too good that's why I purchased. Thank you. Read More

I really like the body material used in the scotty

I am using this when I was 10 years old because I saw my parents also use the same. I am updating every time when it come with updated version of this scooty from 3G now coming to 7G is not a small thing we had a trust on Honda. It will give you a good comfort, mileage and the premium vibe at the time of your riding. The confidence you will carry at the time of delivery matters and you can feel the same in this model that's important. I would 100% recommend it. It is truly value for money and I enjoyed each and every feature it has. That is all up to the mark and you will definitely enjoy the comfort this scooty would give you after the purchase.Read More

Reliable, Comfort and Cost effective

I just wanted to go for a reliable and comfort ride for my office and family requirements. After hunting for a week I just got an option of Honda Activa. And without a doubt I went for it because it matches my requirement. Till date, my experience is awesome and positive in terms of its usage. it has smooth and slick look and ride even in gurgaon traffic. Leg space is good. I can travel easily with my family on it hasslefree. Being cost effective, and good post sale service I would recommend this Honda Activa to those people who wants a comfortable ride and less maintenance requirement. Its mileage is too good. Any one can have it without a doubt.Read More

Wanted eco friendly two wheeler for a beginner for city uses. Also the ride is very comfortable, little good for any household uses also low maintenance cost with high fuel efficiency. Overall good for medium users. Ride is overall comfortable that two wheeler gives very good fuel efficiency all the it has run through the city only but has done more than 3 lakh kilometres on the odometer very low maintenance cost make it pocket friendly. Yeah I would recommend this two wheeler to a beginners good for riders who are looking for two wheeler with handle power and for medium uses just for daily up and down, also if you are not looking for a shiny sports bike this is a perfect choice and does everything literally everything.Read More

Good to go product....

Metal boy is very good, with stylish look, Market dominance and trust, sold 2.7lakh units in a month as per research, exceptional resale value, i just love the product, for my day to day commute to office Super smooth engine, the biggest win is the ACG silent start, there is no 'khich khich' sound when you start and better handling, breaking, brake system, when you grab a just rear break it distributes force to the front. Yes, i would highly recommend this scooter because as will go daily office, it is very easy to maintain and good helmet storage, leg keeper. and most importantly budget friendly amongst other scooter, just go for it.Read More
