Hero Vida VX2: Same Price, Other Options
Many popular, budget-friendly 100cc bikes are available for around the same price as the Vida VX2

Hero MotoCorp recently launched the new Vida VX2 electric scooter in India. The scooter’s prices start at Rs 59,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi) making it one of the most affordable e-scooters made by a legacy manufacturer. But if it’s not up to your liking, here’s 5 other two-wheelers that you can consider:
Hero HF Deluxe
The HF Deluxe is one of Hero MotoCorp’s bread and butter models. The bike is priced at Rs 59,998 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is an affordable 100-cc commuter with good mileage, comfort and reliability. Also, Hero’s extensive service network makes the ownership experience worry-free. So, if you need a very good commuter, the Hero HF Deluxe won’t disappoint.

Bajaj Platina 100
For a similar price of Vida VX2, you can go for the Bajaj Platina 100. Priced at Rs 68,890 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the bike offers good value for its price.. It is powered by a 102cc, air cooled engine producing 7.9PS and 8.34Nm, paired to a 4-speed gearbox. The Platina 100 is known for its comfortable riding position, tractable engine and good mileage that makes it a popular pick for many, when looking for a practical commuter. While the Vida VX2 can suffice your daily needs well, the Platina 100 is a good pick too.

TVS XL100
The TVS XL100 is a small-capacity moped, ideal for those who have businesses. If you have the budget for the Vida VX2 and want something else, you can go for the TVS XL100’s top-end variant, priced at Rs 62,435 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The TVS XL100 is agile, lightweight and offers a lot of practicality with its storage spaces but all of this in a different format than the Vida VX2.

Honda Shine 100
The Honda Shine 100 is the only 100cc bike in the brand’s Indian line-up. The bike is priced at Rs 68,862 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It has a reliable engine that is time tested, offers good comfort, and is easy to ride. The bike also returns decent mileage for its category but lacks utility. The Vida VX2 probably does the utility part better than the Honda Shine 100 and seems to be a sensible pick, but if you want the legendary nametag and proven reliability, the Shine 100 is a good enough motorcycle.

TVS Radeon
The TVS Radeon is the most-affordable motorcycle from TVS and its prices start at Rs 59,882 (ex-showroom, Delhi). If you have the budget, the higher variants of the bike offer more features and connectivity. The TVS Radeon’s engine is pretty peppy for a 110cc bike and does the job well. For a similar price of the Vida VX2, you get a bike with even lower monthly running costs.
