Yamaha XSR155 Colours Explained: All Shades For 2026
Retro soul. Four distinct shades. One XSR155

Since its launch in 2025, the Yamaha XSR155 has always stood out for blending old-school charm with new-age performance. The bike is priced from Rs 1,49,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the blue colour variant, while others are more expensive. So which colour should you choose? Here’s all of them explained in detail:
Metallic Grey

This shade gives the Yamaha XSR155 a clean, minimalistic appeal. The muted tone works beautifully with the brushed metal-style tank finish and blacked-out mechanical components. It enhances the neo-retro roadster look without screaming for attention.
The black alloy wheels and dark exhaust setup further complement the overall theme, making this colour perfect for riders who prefer a subtle yet premium aesthetic.
Vivid Red

If you want your XSR155 to channel proper old-school Yamaha vibes, this one does the trick. The rich red fuel tank instantly grabs attention and pairs nicely with the black frame and side colour contrasted side panels.
It gives the bike a more classic roadster stance, reminiscent of vintage Yamaha machines, while still retaining its modern LED lighting. This shade feels bold, sporty and unmistakably retro.
Greyish Green Metallic

Arguably one of the most distinctive options in the lineup, this colour mixes a deep greenish-grey tone. The highlight being the bronze/golden-coloured alloy wheels, which add a premium, almost custom-built feel.
It leans heavily into the heritage side of the XSR badge, giving the motorcycle a café-racer-inspired persona. If exclusivity and character matter more than loud colours, this is the one that stands out and is our favourite of the bunch.
Metallic Blue

This blue shade injects a youthful and energetic vibe into the XSR155’s classic neo-retro silhouette. What makes this version pop even more is the golden-coloured USD fork, which add a dash of premium sportiness.
The contrast between the bright tank, black frame, and bright suspension components makes it look more aggressive and appealing than the other options. It’s a perfect middle ground for riders who want retro styling with a sporty edge.
Same Heart, Different Attitude
Mechanically, all colour options remain identical. The XSR155 continues to be powered by a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, also seen on the Yamaha R14 V4 and the MT-15 V2 as well. It makes 18.4PS and 14.2Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and assist-and-slipper clutch. It rides on an inverted telescopic fork and a monoshock, with disc brakes at both ends along with dual-channel ABS and traction control (more about the XSR's features here).
That said, if you have decided to get the Yamaha XSR155, here’s an ultimate buying guide which will help you in making a decision. If you are confused between the Yamaha XSR155 and the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, this detailed comparison will make things clear.

- Most Underrated BikeWanted a low cc but stylish and retro motorcycle and here XSR became by my favourite. It can be easily maneuver in city traffics so that you don't have to be struggle to drive. Light weight as well. Gets you great mileage of around 45 plus. The riding posture is aggressive and yes, you can feel the ride and that's what actually matters. The seat is quite hard but instead of replacing it you can have a s seat cover of 400 rupees which would make it but softer. If you want entry level retro bike or kind of new into riding culture have it, feel it and then eventually according to your needs upgrade. It is stylish, you stop at red signal, people stop and ask about the bike. Most underrated bike you can say.Read More
- XSR 155 in India reviewEngine reliability is very good, reviews from the international audience suggests, the neo retro design looks damn good on roads. I've got so many compliments over the looks. Performance is insane too. The ride can be difficult to get used to at first but it gets better with time. The engine is super powerful and vibrations are very less. You can feel the power as you drive. The bike is pretty light and agile. And as you rev beyond 7k RPM, the VVA kicks in and the experience just get drastically better. I highly recommend this bike. Comfort might be one of the problems at the start but it gets better over time. Also, the customisation options are insane. You can just tune it to how you want it. Possibilities are endless.Read More5 1
