Here’s What’s New On The Simple One Gen 2
Simple Energy’s electric scooter gets its most comprehensive update yet

Simple Energy just launched the One Gen 2 electric scooter, priced at Rs 1,69,999 (4.5kWh) and Rs 1,77,999 (5kWh) ex-showroom Bengaluru. While the overall design remains unchanged, the Gen 2 update focuses on improving performance, efficiency and features. Here’s a quick look at everything that’s new:
New Battery Options & More Range
The biggest update on the Simple One Gen 2 is the introduction of new, more power-dense lithium-ion battery packs. The scooter is now also offered in two battery options: 4.5kWh with a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 236km, and 5kWh with a range of 265km.

Higher Performance
The motor in this electric scooter’s top-spec 5kWh variant makes 8.8kW and 72Nm. It does 0-40kmph in 2.55 seconds, and reaches 115kmph in the Sonic X ride mode. For the 4.5kWh version, the same motor is de-tuned to make 6.4kW, 52Nm, and it does 0-40kmph in 3.3 seconds with a 90kmph top speed.
Better Ergonomics
This Simple electric scooter is 8kg lighter than before, and seat height has been lowered by 16mm to 780mm. Practicality has also been improved with a larger 35-litre underseat storage (up from 30 litres), a new 1-litre front glovebox, and a dedicated charging port.
More Features

The One Gen 2 adds traction control, cruise control, four levels of regenerative braking, and 6 riding modes: Eco X, Eco, Ride, Air (named Dash before), Sonic, Sonic X (only on 5kWh). It also gets a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display with navigation, 5G e-SIM with LTE, Bluetooth connectivity, OTA (Over The Air) updates, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), geo-fencing, Find My Vehicle, forward and reverse Park Assist.
What’s The Same?
The Simple One retains its sharp and sporty design language. It also continues to use the same underbone chassis, suspension setup and 12-inch wheels. Home charging via a portable 750W charger remains standard.

BikeDekho Says
The One Gen 2 feels like a meaningful step forward rather than a cosmetic refresh. With more range, lower weight, and a long list of added features, Simple has strengthened its case in the premium electric scooter segment. Though, consistent deliveries and a stronger service network will be key to its real-world success.
User Reviews
it's ok if u want a sporty look scootylooks are good but cost is higher and range is unreliable and comfort is not too harsh and not so comfortable it's decent but performance is good but brightness of the monitor is not good and not visible at sunny days and because it is an electric vehicle it's not valued for spending 2 lacs or above on a electric scooter.Read More
