Adventure bike enthusiasts have a reason to get excited. A new ADV has been spotted testing on Indian roads, and all signs point towards it being a Bajaj adventure motorcycle. It's been a long time coming, considering Bajaj has been building adventure bikes for KTM for years. Now, it finally looks set to launch an ADV under its own badge. Here's a closer look at what the latest spy shots reveal.
How Do We Know It's A Bajaj?
The test mule was spotted alongside a fleet of Bajaj Pulsars and a KTM Adventure, although the camouflaged adventure bike was clearly the centre of attention. Another clue comes from the taillight and the swingarm design, which closely resembles the unit seen on the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. However, this is where the similarities end.

A Proper ADV
Starting with the design, there's no denying that this motorcycle looks ready to take on a Ladakh expedition. It features a raised front fender, a long single-piece seat, extensive body panels, and what appears to be a comfortably upright riding posture. The handlebar is relatively straight, which should offer a commanding stance, while the slim mid-section is likely to make standing on the pegs and manoeuvring off-road much easier.
Overall, the motorcycle's silhouette bears a resemblance to the KTM 390 Enduro R. However, the fuel tank appears noticeably larger, suggesting better touring capability.
Now for the interesting bit. The engine casing doesn't resemble any current Bajaj motorcycle but instead looks similar to KTM's latest powerplants. We think that the upcoming ADV could be powered by the 250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The mill should have enough power to provide stronger touring credentials while also allowing Bajaj to keep the bike’s prices in check. The smaller 250cc engine also means that the bike will be frugal to run.

The motorcycle also gets an upswept exhaust, further reinforcing its adventure-touring intent.
As for the hardware, the bike clearly features long-travel suspension at both ends. It rides on spoke wheels that appear to be a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear combination. This setup should strike a good balance between touring comfort and rough-road capability.
However, the spoke wheels do raise one concern. We hope Bajaj opts for tubeless spoke wheels instead of conventional tube-type units, as they are far more practical for long-distance touring. The test bike was also seen equipped with a top box, and despite that, there appears to be sufficient room for a pillion to sit comfortably.
That said, the spy shots do not provide a clear view of the instrument console or headlight setup, so details on those aspects remain under wraps for now.

BikeDekho Says
The wait may finally be nearing its end. The spotted motorcycle appears to be very close to its production-ready form, suggesting a launch could take place later this year, most likely during the festive season or in early 2027.
Expected to be priced at around Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom), the upcoming Bajaj ADV could emerge as an affordable alternative to motorcycles such as the TVS Apache RTX 300, Suzuki V-Strom SX, and even the KTM 390 Adventure, offering buyers another compelling option in the growing adventure-touring segment.
