The just launched Bajaj Chetak C2501 is the newest entrant into the premium affordable electric scooter space – priced at Rs 91,399. It directly rivals the TVS Orbiter priced at Rs 1,04,900 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru). Here’s how they compare purely based on features:

Instrument Console & Connectivity
Both these electric scooters come with a colour LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. The TVS Orbiter offers a more connected experience, including turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle health monitoring, geo-fencing, crash alerts, and OTA (Over-The-Air) updates. The TVS scooter goes a step further by also offering cruise control.
The Bajaj Chetak C2501 keeps things simpler, offering call alerts and music control via the optional TecPac accessory (Rs 3,000). While it lacks navigation and app features, the display covers all essential ride information clearly.
Safety Features & Practicality
Neither scooter offers ABS, but the Orbiter gets CBS (Combined Braking System), although it has drum brakes at both ends. The Bajaj scooter meanwhile gets a front disc brake. Both come equipped with hill-hold assist, reverse mode, and an apron-mounted USB charging port. The Orbiter also has a larger underseat boot space at 34 litres compared to the Bajaj’s 25 litres.

If you’re looking for an affordable scooter for short city commutes that also has good build quality and covers the basics well, the Bajaj Chetak C2501 is the one for you. Although its 55kmph top speed and 113km claimed range from its 2.5kWh battery pack might not be enough for some.
The TVS Orbiter meanwhile, makes more sense for buyers who want more features and have slightly longer daily commutes or have to use highway stretches for short durations. The cruise control, turn-by-turn come handy along with the higher claimed top speed and range of 68kmph and 158km (from a larger 3.1kWh battery), respectively.

- Hamara bajaj is now hamara chetakevI had purchased it when ev was new in market, I am very much satisfied. I had drove it for more than 50000 kms with no expense. I had to change only tyres and regular service only one auxiliary battery of Rs. 800 had been changed. I am quiet impressed me and my son both have purchased but there is very less front space between handle and seat to carry extra luggage vegetables or ration need to improve in this area good service staff in patni and Nagpur. I will recommend everyone to go for this ev only. - Go for it , It's a good bikeGood pickup, stylish design as the colour combination looks futuristic. TVS is a big brand, so service is very good and easy to find. Built quality is also one of the good reason to pickup this bike. It gives great experience. The range is a big concern while going to college. Except that, everything is very good like the pickup while overtaking vehicles, durability during pot-holes and a suspension works good. Yes, If you are looking for good service, take a look of this, may be the price and range doesn't match but the service and experience is very good. - Chetak the reliable option for IndianAffordable price of chetak and get many colour options with a durable frame and comfortable ride and cities with a good posture for average height people it might look a little bit different from other Chetak. It gives a mileage of 80 to 100 according to your driving style and with I catching looks and a good design and is easily handle because its weight is very less and have a balanced riding poster and have a special thing which is the word Chetak means reliable.
