The BMW F 450 GS made its global debut at EICMA 2025. Now, BMW India has announced that the ADV will make its debut at India Bike Week, which will be held on December 19 and 20.
Powering the BMW F 450 GS is a new 420cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor which produces 47.6PS at 8,750rpm and 43Nm at 6,750rpm. This should make it more than capable of handling long-distance highway cruising. It also comes with a bidirectional quickshifter, and an easy-ride-clutch (only in the GS Trophy variant), which automatically engages the clutch while riding slow or through rough terrain.
The bike has a kerb weight of 178kg, which is surprisingly light for an adventure bike of this capacity. For perspective, it is 18kg lighter than the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450!
Unofficial bookings for the BMW F 450 GS have already begun in dealerships. According to our dealer sources, the booking amounts vary from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 depending on the dealership. The bike is likely to be launched in India by early 2026, with an expected price starting at Rs 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Along with this, BMW has also started production of the F 450 GS in India.
It will go up against Honda NX 500, Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr, and Benelli TRK 502, and also be a premium alternative to the KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

It has many features, like multiple riding mods and the trophy version has a ERC that means (easy riding clutch) it is very helpful to the beginners. - Excited for the bike to be launchedI am desperately waiting for the bike the headlight looks very interesting. I got chills when I saw the bike's introduction video. the color scheme is perfect. the TFT display makes it look more futuristic. the power output of the bike will be crazy, especially on the trails, I hope the bike has good low-end torque which can help in the trails. although this bike is a big competitor of the Himalayan the BMW F 450 GS will be priced aggressively, at the end of the day it is a BMW.
