The BMW F 450 GS has finally broken cover at EICMA 2025, and the full specifications have also been revealed. The F 450 GS is based on a new 450cc platform, which was co-developed in collaboration with TVS. Here’s everything you need to know:

Powering the bike is a new 420cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, which produces 47.6PS and 43Nm. The bike comes with a regular manual transmission, and on the top-end GS Trophy variant, you can also get what BMW calls a Easy Ride Clutch (ERC). This prevents stalling at lower speeds by automatically engaging the clutch, while still offering manual clutch control for off-road manoeuvres.

The bike is built on a tubular steel frame, and is suspended on a 43mm KYB inverted fork and KYB monoshock. Braking setup consists of a 310mm front and 240mm rear disc. The bike rolls on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup with tubeless dual-purpose tyres. Riders can also get tubeless spoke wheels as an optional accessory for better performance off-road. Note that spoke wheels are not in any variant, and will have to be purchased on order.
The bike is offered in 4 variants: Basic, Exclusive, Sport & GS Trophy. Here’s a breakdown of the differences via table:

The BMW F 450 GS will feature a 6.5 inch TFT console with smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts and music controls. The bike will likely be launched in India by early 2026 (hopefully around March). Until then, here are the top 5 highlights of the F 450 GS.

It could start from Rs 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will go up against the Honda NX 500, Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr, and Benelli TRK 502. The BMW F 450 GS will be a step up compared to the single-cylinder ADVs such as the KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
BMW F 450 GS User Reviews
- About the bikeIt was my dream bike and it's so reliable and smooth. It has many features, like multiple riding mods and the trophy version has a ERC that means (easy riding clutch) it is very helpful to the beginners. The handling of the bike is very smooth and it gives around 20 to 24 milage on an average in highways and its seats are so much comfortable and it has a heating grips which helps me in early morning rides. I like to recommend this bike to the proper off-road bikers and they love this very much because of its handling and ERC you can also adjust the suspensions of both side and have a good off-road experience.Read More1

- Excited for the bike to be launchedI am desperately waiting for the bike the headlight looks very interesting. I got chills when I saw the bike's introduction video. the color scheme is perfect. the TFT display makes it look more futuristic. the power output of the bike will be crazy, especially on the trails, I hope the bike has good low-end torque which can help in the trails. although this bike is a big competitor of the Himalayan the BMW F 450 GS will be priced aggressively, at the end of the day it is a BMW.
