Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z (350cc TFT version): Same Price, Other Options

These five alternatives offer a mix of electric mobility, sporty performance and adventure-ready hardware

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z (350cc TFT version) faces competition from two-wheelers with very different strengths. The Ather 450X and Honda ADV160 offer alternatives for scooter buyers, while the Hero Xtreme 250R and Hero Xpulse 210 bring larger engines and different riding styles to the table. The Yamaha R15M, meanwhile, is a fully faired sports bike with a feature-rich package. Here is a look at five alternatives to consider in a similar price range.

1. Ather 450X (126km + AtherStack Pro) - Rs 1,75,998

The Ather 450X (126km IDC range) with AtherStack Pro is equipped with a 2.9kWh battery pack. Ather claims a charging time of three hours to go from 0 to 80 per cent and four hours and 30 minutes for a full charge using home charging. The scooter also supports charging through the Ather Grid public fast-charging network, with the company listing a charging rate of up to 15km in 10 minutes for this battery variant.

The 450X gets a 7-inch TFT touchscreen dashboard that displays riding information and supports Google Maps navigation. With AtherStack Pro, the scooter offers connected functions such as live traffic navigation, call and music controls, ride statistics and remote monitoring through the Ather app. Other features include document storage on the dashboard, theft and tow alerts, and over-the-air software updates.

AtherStack Pro adds several convenience features to the 450X. These include multiple riding modes, AutoHold and Reverse Assist. AutoHold helps keep the scooter stationary on a slope without requiring the rider to continuously apply the brakes, while Reverse Assist helps manoeuvre it backwards in confined parking spaces. The scooter also gets guide-me-home lighting and automatic indicator cut-off.

The Ather 450X has a compact, sporty design with angular body panels and a sharp front apron. It gets LED lighting and it is available in colours including Cosmic Black, True Red, Space Grey, Lunar Grey, Still White, Hyper Sand and Stealth Blue.

The scooter's braking system consists of disc brakes at both ends. It uses a combined braking system along with regenerative braking. This system is designed to maintain useful torque at lower revs while supporting performance at higher engine speeds. The engine is also compatible with E20 petrol.

The engine is paired with a six-speed constant-mesh gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. The assist function reduces clutch lever effort, while the slipper mechanism helps manage the effects of excessive engine braking during downshifts. My opinion

It has clean finishing good looking, thin having, good mileage, having better features than any other petrol scooter, it is electric vehicle it is sports scooter so it has modes too fast charging service centre is available. I had done something around 12000 km driven this scooter for long ride it isn't good it is slightly uncomfortable it could give you back pain and scooter may could get heat if you are riding in the summer weather. This scooter isn't for long ride but if you want this for going to college, school or for work it's good vehicle. This scooter looks attractive and has good enough speed to reach the destination. Its good scooter you can go for it if you want. Read More
