Bajaj Dominar 400 And Pulsar NS400Z: No Price Hike Despite GST 2.0
Under GST 2.0, bikes above 350cc attract a 9% higher GST, at 40%, but Bajaj has decided to absorb the higher taxes

As per the new GST 2.0 reforms, the tax on motorcycles above 350cc went from 31% to 40%. This will have a direct impact on the vehicle’s pricing and will get costlier. But Bajaj Auto has announced that it will absorb the impact of GST 2.0, and will not hike the prices of the Pulsar NS400Z, as well as the Dominar 400. Both bikes come with a 373.3cc engine, but Bajaj will bear the extra tax cost instead of passing it on to its customers. Check out the prices here

This move is quite significant because bikes in the 350cc to 400cc range are considered as a dream upgrade for many riders who want performance without stretching their budget too far. Two of Bajaj Auto’s most powerful bikes, the Pulsar NS400Z and the Dominar 400 offer excellent value for money for the kind of performance they offer. In fact, by not hiking the price, the Pulsar NS400Z still remains the cheapest bike in India that makes over 40PS (43PS to be precise).

Interestingly, both the Pulsar and the Dominar were updated recently with several feature and performance updates, so now with the unchanged pricing, they continue to be good deals for those who want a powerful but affordable streetfighter or for those who want a modern performance cruiser without breaking the bank.
Other than this, Bajaj Auto has also done the same (absorbing higher GST on made-in-India 400cc bikes) for the brands operating under it, like Triumph and KTM India, check out the full article for more information.
