The Bajaj Dominar 250 has received a silent price revision. The lower capacity tourer was launched in March this year at an introductory price of Rs 1,60,000. With the hike, it now costs Rs 1,64,218 (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). Bajaj has hiked the price of its larger capacity cousin, the Dominar 400 as well.

This is the first price hike for the Dominar 250 since its launch. Its larger cousin, the Dominar 400, has meanwhile received two price revisions since its BS6 transition. You can check out the details and prices here.
Despite the significant price hike, the Dominar 250 does not receive any cosmetic or mechanical updates. The Dominar 250 was launched as a more affordable and accessible alternative to Bajaj’s flagship tourer, the Dominar 400. It uses the larger Dominar’s bodywork and perimeter frame but gets a new red paint job, skinnier tyres, slimmer 37mm fork and a digital instrument console from the first-gen Dominar 400 as well. The tourer gets a KTM 250 Duke-derived 250cc liquid-cooled motor that impresses with its tractability and refinement. It delivers 27PS and 23.5Nm via a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch.

Despite the price hike, the Bajaj Dominar 250 is Rs 32,000 more affordable than its larger cousin and in our opinion is the better tourer. Like other two-wheeler manufacturers, Bajaj has been increasing prices of its motorcycles across the range but in small increments to soften the blow of the BS6 price hike. The Bajaj Dominar 250 competes with other tourers like the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 and Jawa Forty Two BS6.

I bought the Bajaj DOMINAR 250 after comparing several bikes in this segment and it has been a very satisfying experience, the engine is smooth and refined, especially on highways and it cruises comfortably at higher speed without stress. Riding comfort is excellent for long rides with relaxed posture and well cushioned seats. The bike feels solid and premium and the overall build quality inspires confidence. looks are muscular and sporty, very similar to the dominar 400 which I really like. Overall the dominar 250 offers great performance ,comfort, and features for the price, making it true value for money.Read More
Bike is kept in Showroom condition as it has only used for 6000km, it’s a comfortable bike for daily commuting and long rides. I have installed all premium accessories such as Zana Crash Guard, CarbonRacing handle bar raiser and many more things to enhance its driving experience and styling.
