    Expert Review

    BikeDekho Experts
The Suzuki Access 125 may not scream excitement, but it delivers where it matters - refinement, practicality, and reliability. It’s a great choice for those who want a no-nonsense family scooter that offers peppier performance compared to most other scooters in India, without compromising too much on mileage.

    Design & Quality

    Suzuki Access design

The Suzuki Access 125 has been a top choice for family scooters in India for almost two decades. The 2025 update doesn't change that — it just makes the scooter even better. Here's what we found after riding and testing it for several days in the city.

    Bikedekho

    Design & Build

The new LED headlamp with a chrome ring is the biggest change for 2025. It sits on an updated front part and gives the scooter a slightly more premium look, without changing the shape everyone already knows.
Metal panels are now used on the sides of the front apron and on the mudguard. The rest of the body is still plastic, but the scooter feels more solid to touch.
The panel gaps are even all around, and nothing rattled even after riding on Pune's bad roads many times.
This scooter isn't trying to look flashy. It's built to still look good even after 5 years and 30,000km of riding.

    Features & Practicality

    Suzuki Access Safety Features

There's one fixed hook in front and one foldable hook under the seat for carrying grocery bags. There are also two small pegs inside the boot where you can hang bags and close the seat over them.
The digital screen shows speed, fuel level, trip time and real-time mileage. The app also remembers where you last parked and has a digital wallet. These are nice extras, but not must-haves.
Choose the Ride Connect Edition and you also get Bluetooth. This adds turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, and rain alerts on the screen. Useful if you check your phone often.
Four of the six variants get CBS brakes, while the top two Ride Connect variants get full ABS instead. ABS works better when you brake hard on a wet or loose road.

    Suzuki Access 125 Instrument Console

The under-seat storage is 24.4 litres on paper, but its shape means a full-face helmet still doesn't fit inside — the same problem the older model had.

    Suzuki Access 125 Storage Space

There are two open pockets on the front, good for a water bottle or gloves. They don't have covers, so we wouldn't keep a phone or wallet there.

    Rider & Pillion Comfort

    Suzuki Access Rider Comfort

The seat height is 773 mm and it's wide enough for both the rider and the person sitting behind to be comfortable.
The handlebar is set high, so you sit up straight and relaxed. This is good for daily riding. If you're taller than 6 feet, sit on one before buying, just to check the legroom.
The suspension handles broken roads well in the city, but on rides longer than 30–40km, the seat starts to feel harder. If you ride long distances often, take a longer test ride first.

    Suzuki Access 125

The floorboard is quite big, so your feet have enough room even with bigger shoes on.

    Engine & Performance

    Suzuki Access Engine Details

The 124cc air-cooled engine makes 8.42PS and 10.2Nm. These numbers may not sound big, but the engine is tuned well, so it never feels weak when you start moving.
In our tests, it went 0–40kmph in 3.39 seconds and 0–60kmph in 7.44 seconds — faster than the Activa 125, Jupiter 125 and Destini 125 in our tests.
There are very few vibrations, even at higher speeds. It also has enough power left after 80kmph to overtake easily.
Suzuki claims a mileage of 45kmpl (ARAI). In our city riding, we got 44–50kmpl. This means you can ride close to 250km on one full tank of 5.3 litres.

    Ride Quality & Handling

    Suzuki Access Underpinnings

The front has telescopic forks and the rear has a normal swingarm suspension. Together, they make the ride smooth — you barely feel potholes and road joints in the city.
It has tubeless tyres, with a 12-inch wheel in front and a 10-inch wheel at the back. This same 10-inch rear wheel size has been used since the Access first came to India in 2007.

    Suzuki Access 125

At 106kg, it's light enough to push around easily at a signal or in a tight parking spot.

    Suzuki Access 125

This smaller rear wheel makes the scooter easy to handle in tight lanes, but on the open road or in fast turns, it doesn't feel as stable as rivals like the Jupiter 125 or Destini 125, which have 12-inch wheels on both ends.

    Suzuki Access 125

The Access 125 comes in six variants and six colours. Prices start at around ₹81,000 for the base Standard variant and go up to a little over ₹1 lakh for the fully-loaded Ride Connect TFT ABS Edition (ex-showroom). Please check the latest on-road price in your city, as this can change.

We recommend the Special Edition. It gives you the front disc brake without paying extra for features you may not use.

If you can spend a bit more, go for the Ride Connect ABS Edition. The extra safety from ABS is worth the higher price.

The TFT variants have a colour screen that looks nice in the showroom, but it doesn't do enough extra to be worth the higher price.

    Verdict (4/5)

    What's Good

    • Smooth engine with very little vibration, even at high speed
    • Quick for this segment — 0–60kmph in 7.44 seconds in our tests
    • Handles broken roads better than most 125cc scooters
    • Useful hooks, pegs and pockets for daily use
    • ABS is now available — still rare in this segment

    What Could Be Better

    • 10-inch rear wheel feels less stable at high speed
    • Underseat storage shape wastes space — a full-face helmet doesn't fit
    • Open pockets aren't safe for keeping valuables

The Suzuki Access 125 is not trying to have the best spec sheet. It has one simple goal — to make everyday riding easy. The smooth engine, comfortable ride and useful features mean it still does this better than most 125cc scooters today. If you want a reliable family scooter and don't mind the smaller rear wheel at high speed, this is still one of the easiest scooters to recommend.

    Competition Check

Suzuki Access vs TVS Jupiter 125

The Jupiter 125 offers a much larger 33-litre underseat storage space, and a larger floorboard as well. It also has a larger fuel tank with an apron-mounted fuel filler cap which makes it more convenient while refuelling. The Jupiter’s ride quality is slightly better over bad roads too. But the Access has a significantly smoother engine than the Jupiter, and offers peppier performance, which makes riding on faster roads much better. Here is how the detailed specifications between these two scooters look like.

Suzuki Access vs Honda Activa 125

While Honda’s scooters are known for their high reliability, personally, I believe that the Access is just as well-built and reliable as the Activa. But because of this general impression, the Activa 125 will have better resale value. The Activa 125 has a more traditional design, which along with its strong brand recall might make it the obvious choice for some. But the Access offers much more smoothness from its engine, feels more light and agile and offers better performance as well. Here is how a features comparison looks like, between these two 125cc family scooters.

Also if you are curious about how the Activa 110 fairs in a features comparison, we have done that as well.

      Positive Review of Access 125
As being an adult, I needed a vehicle to commute to places, I had to select a scooter for house chores and personal uses. I took advice from many people, used AI for comparisons, took reviews, test rides and then selected it as a final decision. So far the ride is comfortable, we can ride for hours without getting back pain or anything, with a good mileage receiving at a petrol scooter, I have no tension about how much I ride on daily basis, the handling, brakes, tyres and suspension are all best. A family person or a new adult should purchase it or as a first two wheeler owner too. You can purchase it. I would surely recommend to you. I will take guarantee of u not regretting getting this scooter.

      Access is Easy
Suzuki provide smooth engine, sound like angry beast, in 2013 we purchase 1st access 125 still in working with 42000 km so smooth, so trusted product and now new refresh with engine changes. Best in class. Comfortable but a manufacturing defect in chassis handle is tilt left side seat is right side alinement issue, Even if you try to explain it, the service center staff still won't understand. Only a true rider or a Japanese engineer could grasp this. Yes sure look premium, suspension doesn't flex when pillion sit on it, confidant or stable ride with pillion, I have ridden it for 200 km in one day no issue, no power leg smooth steady ride easy ride.

Efficiency. The way access 125 performance is outrageous. Price to efficiency ratio is best. You can expect great performance in this price segment. Strong build, you can always rely on it and has great pickup as well. Cool, It's comfy, easy to handle. Best for beginners. If you're someone who has just learnt to ride bikes this one is gonna be best to handle. Unlike other 2 wheelers this won't give you issues with handling Definitely yes with its complete performance and power, build this can be a go to monster. Access 125 is the most common scooty in cities and now be introduced to rural areas can be a real game changing deal.

The access 125cc recommend scooter by experts
Smooth on highways and very good for comfort rides works well in city it's The Access 125 Comfort Smoothness Practicality. If your priority is daily commute, reliability, comfort, and mileage, and it's good for performance also. Acceleration is very good as seen on this scooter it offers an 125cc engine that gives refined power so riding it makes sense in city it's for city purpose only it's not meant to be used for long Highway rides. Yes I definitely recommend this scooter to other people who use just the city ride you can use only this is for city rides only this is not meant to be used for Highway rides. It can be used only for the city purposes so because of this I recommend this scooter only for the city purpose not for the long rides it's comfortable to use it in cities.

Good mileage, pillion friendly seat for ladies, I ride with my wife long distance. Done lonavala, Alibaug one day trips. Its tag line has stuck on my mind access kami pite, that also made me take this, mileage compared to jupiter and tvs ntorque is more Its been an awesome ride till now, rode 30000km till now. Just came the stepping motor issue used to get off in low rpm. Got some modification fitment done i can adjust the rpm now by it. Seats can be made little softer. So far so good. Can easily dodge anything by its power Yes i would recommend this bike. It has straight seats and good power and mileage, looks are great too, i have the black one, just get extra light fitted, factory fitted lights are not adequate. I feel it gives less visibility with time, change led or fit extra lights

Scooter from the stable of Racing Blood.
Foremost idea behind chasing this bike is it's mileage and large space. Even a month's ration can be carried in this bike along with a pillion rider. Even with all these, the ride is super smooth. And the fantastic colour option is the final point of reckoning. Absolutely Positive. Ride is super comfortable. The power is quite peppy. The pick up is super smooth. It accelerates without much effort and overtakes other vehicles so easily that I remain amazed. Without even trying I can easily overtake other so called super scooters. In, not so empty, highway it cruises past 60 km/hr without me even noticing it and quite a few times clocks 80 km. The riders from all age group can buy this scooter. Though it's a very basic one, it amply make it's way with it's sheer power, mileage and large carrying capacity. It is a scooter for daily commute as well as long ride. Even a daily run of 30kms one way is a joyride as its a very comfortable scooter.

Good to buy in financial city
Very good to buy I used to drive hero pleasure, our family scooter. But something was calling me from the far. It was a call to become a suzuki access. I am always fascinated by motorcycles, never liked the scooters anyways. I always consider scooters to be only for ladies. But nowadays many companies are marketing their scooters for male consumers Very good in the financial city GREAT scooter, I truly did enjoy riding it. I would highly recommend anyone that rides or has been a access rider to enjoy, I am quite sure you will also enjoy it as much as i have. A scooter like the access 150 is often recommended for its reliability, comfort, and ease of handling. A comfortable bike with good power is ideal. A bike that balances comfort, reliability, and power is best.

Access is the best in it's segment
I chose access for it's refined engine , great mileage and smooth ride. I never opted for another scooter since i got my hands on suzuki access and it has been 13 years now that I've been using access and this model is best. This bike didn't disappoint me anywhere. I took it in the city traffic plus most rides are on highways so i know about the power it produces because in traffic this engine never disappoints. I always had an ease of moving around with this smooth machine. I would definitely recommend this bike for it's fuel efficiency and the refined engine it has. I already have told my friends about this specific bike and i always have suggested to go for it and people listen when they see that you have a great example in your hand i.e. suzuki access.
