Recently, the Japanese auto major Yamaha announced the price of its latest naked bike, revealed at the EICMA. The Yamaha MT-07 has been priced at £5,200 in UK, which is around Rs. 5.25 lakh. However, if the bike will be launched in India, it will costs around Rs. 7-8 lakh.

The bike take its design inspiration from its elder sibling MT-09, but keeps a very distinct appearance compared to the previous FZ naked range of the company. It sports an advance economical 689cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, parallel twin power mill based on the Yamaha's 'Crossplane Philosophy'. This new technology engine churns out a maximum power of 73.8bhp @9,000rpm and a peak torque of 69Nm @6,500rpm.

Using this new engine on a light weight platform, the company makes a more responsive bike, while maintaining the fuel economy. Masculine fuel tank, bold headlamp and a mass forward naked design gives a perfect street look to the bike. LED tail lamp, angular mirrors, air intake scoops and light weight alloy wheels are shared with the MT-09.

MT-07 features upside down forks at the front, while adjustable hydraulic single shock suspension with aluminium casted swing-arm at the rear. Its 17 inch 10 spoke alloy wheels has been covered by 120/70 ZR 17M/C(58W) (Tubeless) and 180/55 ZR 17M/C(73W) (Tubeless) tyres at the front and the rear respectively.

The bike comes equipped with all the latest technologies like fuel injection, fully digital instrument console, ABS etc. If the bike will be launched in India, it will compete with the affordable superbikes like Kawasaki Ninja 650R and Hyosung GT650R. Although, these bikes are cheaper than the MT-07, it has a lot more to attract the buyers towards it. So, we believe that this advanced bike at the aforementioned price range will be a worth to buy deal in India.
