Yamaha FZ-S and Fazer Special Edition Launched

The festive season is about to come and this is the best time for the Indian auto makers to increase their market. To grab the golden opportunity, Yamaha is making efforts to boost the sales of its best sellers, Yamaha FZ-S and Yamaha Fazer. Yesterday, they launched special editions of these bikes to attract the Indian population. These are named as Battle Green edition by the company.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said, “The launch of the special edition of the FZ series is a clear illustration of how the market has responded to our motorcycles in this series. Our strategic intent is to provide customers with stylish new variants of the FZ series to match his personal style.

These bikes have been instrumental in catapulting our sales to an all new level. We have kept the essence of FZ series bikes intact while altering the aesthetics to exemplify the masculine feeling these tough machines are known for. We are confident that these variants too will be an instant hit among the biking enthusiasts.”

The bikes were launched in 2008, since then they are the mainstay for the company. And what has helped, these bikes do well over the years, is the graphic updates these bike received time to time. The latest version of the bike is looking more 'Macho' with battle green panels and yellow coloured complementing graphics. Battle green colour has been used on the front mudguard, front cowling, muffler and pillion handle of the bike.

The fuel tank, front and rear cowls are looking more impressive with battle field yellow graphics. A yellow coil spring has also been used with the mono shock suspension of the bike. Overall, both the bikes are looking eye catching, it seems that the company is going to rock this festive season again with the same formula. The bikes have only been updated cosmetically, not any experiment has been done with the performance of the bikes.

Both the bikes are giving same 14PS power and 13.6Nm torque with a 153cc engine, which is used in other variants of the bike. Currently, FZ-S comes in 6 different graphic variants and Fazer comes in 5, including this new Battle Green edition. The bikes are launched with the price tags of Rs. 74,385 (FZ-S Battle Green) and Rs. 79,485 (Fazer Battle Green).
