Here’s a rundown of the top five two-wheeler news stories of the week

The last week was packed with excitement thanks to new product launches, commencement of bookings, spy images to future launch plans from two-wheeler manufacturers. Just in case you missed out, here’s a summary of all the action from the two-wheeler space in the last six days.

 

1. Benelli TRK 502 And TRK 502 X 

The Benelli TRK 502 and the TRK 502X have been launched in India at Rs 5 lakh and Rs 5.40 lakh (both ex-showroom, India) respectively. Customers can book either of the bikes for a nominal amount of Rs 10,000. Moreover, during delivery, Benelli will also provide customers with a Rs 10,000 voucher which can be redeemed on the bike's accessories. Deliveries of the duo will commence in two months’ time. 2. Benelli India To Launch More Bikes This Year

Currently, Benelli India sells five models in the country which includes the TRK 502 duo, TNT 300, and the TNT 600i. While that’s an impressive lineup to begin with, the brand has plans of stepping it up a notch by introducing five more motorcycles this year. This includes the launch of the Leoncino and Leoncino Trail and a hyper-tourer (502 C) among others. Head here for more details.

 

3. Honda CBR650R Official Bookings Begin

The Japanese bikemaker seems to be upping its game with new launches for 2019. The launch of the CB300R followed by the commencement of bookings for the 2019 CBR650R gave enthusiasts something to cheer for. While the CB300R follows Honda’s Neo-Sports Café design language, the CBR650R takes its design cues from the litre-class CBR1000RR Fireblade. The CBR650R gets a host of updates on the mechanical front and is lighter. Not only this, Honda promises to price it under Rs 8 lakh! Complete information available here.

 

4. 2019 Yamaha MT-09 Launched

Yamaha has launched the updated MT-09 in India at Rs 10.55 lakh. While the bike remains mechanically unchanged, it does feature a new white paint job that’ll cost an additional Rs 16,000 over the outgoing model, which was priced at Rs 10.39 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom, India). 5. Bajaj Discover 110 CBS Spotted Testing

The Bajaj Discover 110 was spied testing in Pune with the safety net of CBS (Combined Braking System). Additionally, the bike also seems to have a new heat shield running down from the exhaust header pipe. These updates could push the price of the bike to a little over 53,500.
