The exhaust of the most affordable Harley-Davidson bike has a typical bassy note
Harley-Davidson has launched its most affordable bike, the X440, and the prices start at Rs 2,29,000.
The launch of the upcoming Harley-Davidson X440 is around the corner and now we have an idea of what its exhaust note sounds like. The Milwaukee-based manufacturer has teased the same and you can check it out below:
Since it's a single-cylinder motorcycle, a bassy exhaust was expected and that’s exactly what the X440 gets. The exhaust note in the video is unlike a typical Harley, but there’s only so much a big single-cylinder air-cooled (with an oil cooler) engine can do. So, we’ll have to wait to know what the roadster actually sounds like in person.
The engine on the upcoming H-D X440 will likely produce 38PS and 30Nm. The X400 will also get an inverted fork, twin shock absorbers and 17-inch alloy wheels. The roadster will get a relaxed riding posture because of the wide handlebars and the mid-set footpegs. The switchgear, spotted in images previously seen, looks quite premium.

The Harley-Davidson X440 will be launched on July 3, and is expected to be priced at Rs 2.7 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable Harley-Davidson bike in India. Its rivals will be the upcoming Triumph-Bajaj Roadster and the Royal Enfield Hunter 450. Summing up, the X440 will allow Harley to garner younger, more budget-conscious audiences to join the Harley lifestyle.
